Energy removal says remove 1 energy card attached to 1 of ur oponents pokemon, does this include a double colorless as it doesnt specify 1 "basic" energy card?

Yep, it sure can. It can remove ANY one energy card that is attached to the defending pokemon.

But I haven't been fully informed on the legal status of this card. I heard its now illegal in tournaments, along with a bunch of other cards.

first question: it can remove any of your opponent's energies.
second question: It is illigal in Modified tournaments, which Nintendo and POP seem to be pushing really hard right now. It is still legal in Unlimited tournaments (good luck finding one of those)

Actually, at my local tournament organizer, almost all of their tournaments are unlimited.

that's your TO. POP in general is pushing the Modified format extremely heavily, as every single major tourney so far this year (City, State, Gym, Stadium, Nationals) are all Modified tournaments. I have not seen one single POP-sponsored Unlimited tournament with POP supported prizes yet.

Well the main reason is because Wizards of the Coast made the sets up to Skyridge. With that in mind, if Nintendo starts out again with Type 2, it would be better economically for them, since they don't need to reprint anything. Of course, plain Type 1 has been quite quick these days and the decks tend to be single sided, whereas type 2 has MORE variations between them to begin with.
