    Eternal Hero: Rein of Destruction (PG-13-ish)

    Hi everyone! I just joined this forum about 3 hours ago, and I've already thought up a fanfic! I hope you like it, and I hope that I don't lose interest in it before its over! Enjoy!

    Oh yes, this is based off of well, kinda like after the events of G/S/C, but like, after the anime series. See in this, Ash got to go into Mt. Silver after he becomes like the best "Pokemon Master" In the world, so here goes.

    Chapter One: Open Your Eyes
    Ash woke up from the sound of Golbat's screech. "Geez, I'm sick of waiting to beat people in this dark, ugly old cave. I gotta get a life.? He says, walking through the cave of Mt. Silver. ?Sure brings back good memories though, and I think that I?ve inspired many younger trainers to try their very best.? He keeps walking, and suddenly falls through a hole. ?WAAAH! I?ve been cooped up in here so long I?ve forgot how it?s mapped out!!!? He then saw the exit. ?There it is, now I can go back and round up Misty, Brock, and all of my friends and we can go get? ICE CREAM! Yeah!?

    But it wasn?t such a pleasant sight on the outside of Mt. Silver. ?Oh? my? god?? said Ash. He could see everything, from the far reaches of Bill?s house, all the way to Olivine City, but there was nothing but rust and destroyed forests and cities. Ho-Oh?s tower looked just like the burned one. The Indigo Plateau was burnt to the ground. There was no water flowing through the beautiful Cerulean City anymore. The lab in Pallet Town was merely a pile of rusted metal and ashes of wood. Ash could only hope all the Pokemon were safe. Everything that he once knew to be a beautiful, vast land of adventure was now a trashed, barren wasteland clouded by tan and red clouds. ?I wonder what could?ve done all this?? he said. Ash got onto his Pidgeot and flew all the way to Hoenn.

    Hoenn didn?t really have much difference than the old Hoenn, except for Sootopolis City. It had become an evil city, with robots, and other machinery flying everywhere. It was heavily polluted, and there was no longer a peaceful oasis, or a gym. ?Man, I gotta check this out.? Ash said, flying down into the dust. ?This place is totally remapped!? he said.

    ?Hey you there!? said a recognizable voice from behind. ?What?s your big deal? Don?t you know you shouldn?t be snooping around here?? It was Butch. ?Shut up, Butch, I?m trying to figure something out here!? said Ash. ?Why you! Don?t you even know who your talking to?! I?m not just Butch anymore. I?m the founder of this place! The creator of Project Doomsday.? Said Butch. ?Wha? What?s that?? asked a very (once again) confused Ash. ?You?re so ignorant. Project Doomsday is what Team Rocket weakly tried to perform around 6 years ago! Giovanni couldn?t cut it, he didn?t have the guts, so I left Team Rocket, and started my own foundation here, to complete the task and destroy the world! Look, kid, after undergoing extensive research on the DNA structure of the cells in various legendary Pokemon, we?ve successfully genetically enhanced and cloned the Ground, Sea, and Air gods, and erased their memory so that they are willing to help us bring forth the APOCALYPSE!!? said Butch. Ash gasped in fear. He ran off towards where the gym used to be.

    ?It looks like the old entrance to the gym is covered up.? Ash said. ?Snorlax! Go! Slam through the wall for me!? Snorlax obeyed. The wall crushed open, and inside was the old gym. There was a small table, and on the table was a wrinkled up letter. The letter said:

    Dear Ash,
    If you?re reading this, then the Apocalypse has begun. You, Ash, are the world?s only hope, I?m afraid. Celebi has showed me the future without you. You will be encapsulated in an underground base. You Pokemon will be whipped to death in front of each other?s eyes. And the world will collapse into nothing, and the men and women from Project Doomsday will start the world over in a land in the skies. You don?t want that to happen, do you? I can not tell you what to do to stop them, but you must go to Resistance, the last peaceful place for humans and Pokemon. It?s in the sky, but is only accessible through a teleportation pad on Southern Island. On Resistance, all the Pokemon that were found during the destruction of Kanto and Johto were taken there, and many humans as well. Go there, Ash! I will meet you there! Come quickly!

    Chapter Two: Resistance
    Ash, shaking, put the letter into his pocket. ?What can I do?? he thought. He left, and got onto his Pidgeot. Ash started to fly off the ground on him, and was halfway out when there were explosions from behind. He was being attacked!

    ?You?re not getting out of here alive!? said Butch. Five huge cannons arose out of a temple, and launched missiles matching the size of Steelix. ?Pidgeot! Go left!? Pidgeot swerved to the left, dodging missiles. They continued swerving left and right. Ash then turned forward and noticed they were flying straight into an iron wall. ?Pidgeot! Slow down!? he shouted. Pidgeot obeyed, cutting his current speed in half. Another wave of missiles passed in front of Ash and Pidgeot, and broke open the iron wall. Behind the wall was an even deadlier surprise. A barricade of about 20 Rayquaza were floating in the air, waiting for attack. Every single one of them used Hyper Beam at once, and each beam was sent right in the direction of Ash and Pidgeot. They fell down all the way to the bottom of Sootopolis, and blacked out. When he awoke, there was a gun pointed to his head. All his Pokeballs were in the hands of the person with the gun. ?Stop messing with our plans!? said the man, cocking the gun. Ash kicked the man in his shin, grabbed the Pokeballs, and dashed out of Sootopolis.

    On the ocean shore, Ash called out Blastoise. ?Blastoise, surf to Southern Island!? On the way to Southern Island, Ash looked around. Everything looked perfectly normal. ?I wonder why Hoenn is the only place not destroyed yet?? He finally reached Southern Island. ?Well this place looks very different.? He said. There were no more trees, and on the old shrine of the Soul Dew, there was now only a teleportation pad. Ash got on it and teleported to Resistance.

    Resistance was a very peaceful-looking place. There were grassy hills, lush, green fields, and houses just like normal. Only difference was, on the edge of all the peacefulness, there was a drop-off into the clouds, and the destroyed Earth below. Ash walked to the first place that came into his mind, the Pokemon Center. There, he saw just who he was looking for. Steve was sitting on a seat in the corner of the center. ?There you are!? Ash said, running up towards him. ?So, you found my letter, I assume.? He said. ?Yeah? what are we gonna do?? Ash replied. ?Not sure. You know, they are trying to kill you. They think that once you?re out of the way, they can continue their operations.? Said Steve. ?But why? What could I possibly do that others can?t?? asked Ash. ?Ash, have you forgotten who you are? What you?ve finally become after years and years of training? Ash, you?re THE Pokemon Master! The best trainer in the world!? said Steve. ?Oh yeah? I forgot. But you gotta tell me what I?m supposed to do, I have no idea.? Ash said. ?I?ve already told you they?re trying to kill you. Ash, on the far reaches of the Hoenn region, there is something called an Eternal Spirit. Once it is used, it can purify the minds of an entire species. After that, it is useless, and will fade away into sparkling dust. The people of Project Doomsday are heavily guarding this. They want to destroy it, but they can?t because they don?t have love for anything. But you do, so you can do what you want with it, if you can get to it.? Said Steve. ?Yeah, but there are 3 species that need to be purified.? Said Ash. ?The clones are one. And their minds have no goodness in them. Once the Eternal Spirit is used on them, they will all fade out of existence, leaving only the original three to remain.? Said Steve.

    Ash thanked Steve and went upstairs in the center. There he saw May, Misty, Brock, and Max, just talking away like normal. ?H-hey guys?? said Ash. They all recognized his voice and jumped up in surprise. ?HI ASH!? said May. ?Hey man! Long time no see!? said Brock. ?Hi Ash, what?s up?? said Max. ?Hello Ash. How have you been?? said Misty. ?Eh? well I suppose you all know about what?s going on.? Said Ash. ?Of course we do! It?s terrible.? Replied Misty. ?Well you guys, I?m afraid I?ll need you all for one last adventure. Are you up to it or what?? Asked Ash. Everyone was happy to go along. ?Well then, let?s pack up.? He said.
     
    Chapter 3: Warzone
    ?Looks like we?re all set.? Said Brock, putting away the last of the food for the Pokemon. ?Cool! Then let?s go!? said Max. ?Not just yet. You never know what might be down there. Johto and Kanto are already destroyed, I?ll bet you that there are at least lots of traps set in Hoenn. We gotta be careful.? Said Ash. ?Yeah, yeah, whatever, let?s just go! I?m excited.? Said May. ?Well, May, Ash does have a good point, we may never make it back.? Said Misty. ?Yeah okay, I?ll be careful.? May said, and they all left the PokeCenter.

    When they got to the teleportation pad, however, something was terribly wrong. ?It?s busted.? Said Ash. ?It can?t be, you just don?t know how to use these things, Ash.? Chuckled Brock. ?Well then you try!? Ash said. Brock tried to activate the switch, but nothing happened. ?The other teleportation pad must not be receiving any data from here. I wonder what happened down there.? Said Brock. ?I dunno, but I?m about to find out!? he said and jumped right off the edge of the city. ?ASH! NO!? shouted Misty. ?BROCK! Send out Crobat!? ?Got it.? He said and threw out Crobat. ?Crobat, go down there and catch Ash!? he said. ?Man he?s still stupid?? thought May. Ash came riding back up on Crobat. ?I dunno what I was thinking? I think I had too many noodles.? Said Ash, embarrassed. They eventually flew downward on Crobat and Pidgeot. When they landed, however, they were in for a surprise.

    Southern Island was up in flames! Helicopters were flying above dropping bombs, ships in the sea nearby were launching canon balls at it, all waiting for Ash. ?Oh my god!? shouted May, nearly passing out. ?I?m not gonna let this happen?? said Ash. ?STOP IT NOW!? He hopped off of Pidgeot and landed onto the burning island, and ran towards Butch. ?What do you think you?re doing?!? he shouted. ?We were simply waiting for you. Look, we know just what you?re up to, and you aren?t going to do it. This is where it ends, Ash, say goodbye to your friends and your career as a Pokemon Master! Follow me, Ash.? Said Butch. Butch took a few steps and turned to the left. Ash followed, but stepped on something unusually hard. ?You are standing on what we like to call a Nuclear Mine, by the time I?m finished talking, you?ll be dead. Go ahead, try to run.? He said. Ash couldn?t move. He saw the timer drop. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, then there was a huge explosion. Ash was hurtled into the air, and landed far off in the ocean. ?You sick creep! You won?t get away with this!? shouted Misty. ?Seaking, demonstrate to the rest of them what happens when they mess with us!? Seaking came out and stabbed Butch in the leg with his horn. He became paralyzed and fell to the ground unconscious. ?Now Seaking, use Surf and wash away the rest of these morons and the fire!? she said. Seaking used surf, the island was flooded, and when everything was washed away, no one remained standing on the island, except Misty, May, Brock, and Max. ?Now c?mon! Let?s find Ash!? said Brock, diving into the ocean.

    The rest of the gang searched for Ash for hours. Finally, May found something. ?Hey um, I haven?t really found Ash, but, I got his hat?? she said. ?Good work. That must mean he?s nearby.? Said Brock. ?I sure hope so?? said Misty. ?Yeah, without him, we can?t even go on this adventure!? said Max. The search dragged on. Eventually, something happened. In the distance, there was a shock of electricity that came shooting out of the water, into the sky. ?Over there! I think it?s Ash!? shouted Max. Misty quickly swam to where the electricity was coming from and found Ash, and Pikachu underwater. She brought them both up to the surface.

    ?Ash? are you alright?? she asked. ?Y-yeah? I think?? he said. ?I may not be able to make it through the whole journey though. If something happens to me, you?ll have to lead.? ?I? I don?t know if I can.? Said Misty?

    Chapter 4: Arrow through the Heart
    Ash and friends finally arrived at a beach right near Littleroot Town. They were all exhausted. Brock suggested that they all sit down and have a nice meal on the beach before they continue, so, of course, they did.

    ?So, Ash, I guess your Pikachu finally decided to go into his Pokeball, huh?? asked Misty. ?Yeah? a little. Most of the time she prefers to be out, but in real tight spots she?ll go in.? Ash replied, feeding Pikachu one of Brock?s Pokemon foods. ?Hey I got an idea!? yelled May. ?Ehh, what is it?? said Ash. ?Let?s go?? May got cut-off. ?Yeah? swimming, we know?? said Max. ?Well I?m up for it.? Said Brock, putting on his swimming trunks. ?I guess that?d be pretty fun.? Said Ash. Misty agreed to it also? but na?ve little Max was too busy playing around with his PokeNav. ?Maybe later?? he said.

    But just before they took their first step into the water, there was a great explosion from behind. ?AW CRAP! WHAT IS IT NOW?!? shouted Ash. ?Geez! We never get the chance to have fun!? said Misty. ?Well? I think its kinda weird, you know, because um? the explosion is? COMING FROM WHERE I LIVE!? yelled May. ?Crap I forgot about that, we gotta see what?s going on then.? Said Ash.

    They looked up. In the air, about 5 tornadoes brewed above the ground, lowering every second. More and more earthquakes were hitting. ?Guys? you may want to? turn around and see something?? said Max in fear. The rest of them turned around. A tidal wave was heading straight towards them and Littleroot Town. It then started to hail huge chunks of ice, and the tornadoes and earthquakes were still coming. Then, all the sand on the beach was hurled up into the air and mixed in with the tornadoes, creating a Sandstorm. In the distance, you could see Mt. Chimney erupting, and chunks went flying all across Hoenn. Piecess of rock and lava even landed in the center of Littleroot Town. Rain and hail continued to fall down as well as the tornadoes.

    When the gang finally got off the beach and into Littleroot Town, it was too late. Everything had been destroyed by the tornadoes and earthquakes, and flooded by the rain and the tidal wave (of which Ash and friends did barely escape from). Professor Birch?s lab had been hit by one of the chunks of lava. ?OH MY!!? cried May running towards her house. ?NO, MAY! WAIT! IT?S NOT SAFE!? shouted Brock after her. She continued anyway, right into the sandstorm. ?She?s gonna get herself killed if we don?t do something!? said Misty. ?Right.? Said Brock, calling out his Crobat. ?Crobat, use Wing Attack to subside the tornadoes and sandstorms for awhile!? Crobat did so. ?May, if you?re gonna do this, at least use a little common sense!? said Misty. ?You owe Brock one!?

    ?I wonder what could possibly have done this!? said Max. ?It?s the gods; Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza.? Said Ash. ?Whaddya mean?? said Max. ?They?d never do this for no reason!? ?It was done by clones of them created by Porject Doomsday. I don?t wanna explain the whole thing. The only thing that matters is that this place doesn?t get anymore destroyed, and that May stays safe.? Said Ash. ?You?re right.? Said Brock. ?Let?s go.? They followed May.

    When they caught up to May, she was in tears. Her whole house had collapsed into a hole in the ground from an earthquake. The only thing visible from a ground level was the roof, the rest was underground. There were holes in the roof from the hail, but May didn?t dare to look inside, but Ash did. When he saw through the holes, he started to cry as well. ?Your parents? they?? paused Ash. ?Don?t tell me.? Said May, still crying. Inside the house, there were bloodstains on each wall. The knives from the kitchen were spread out over the ground, and one has gone through May?s mom?s arm.

    By this point, Max was also crying, except for one difference, he was being extremely loud and winey. ?May? I don?t think there is anything that we can do.? Said Ash, shedding some tears. He knelt down and hugged May. ?We?re gonna make it through this, no matter what, May. If you stick with us, it?ll go by quicker and we?ll be a stronger team. We have to more before any further damage is taken to Hoenn. Come on.? ?Okay? thank you.? She said. Misty was still trying to calm down Max. Finally she had May?s Beautifly use Sleep Powder and put Max to sleep so he?d shut up, and Misty carried him on out of the now destroyed Littleroot Town.
     
    Uh, yay?

    I'm quite disturbed on how you got these ideas. Besides that, not bad on writing the storyline! It sorta caught my attention as soon as Ash left Mt. Silver. Keep on writing!
     
    lol you mean like all the destruction of Littleroot Town and people dying and everything?

    If ya think thats weird... well... there's alot more of it coming... Thanks though! I need the inspiration.
     
    Chapter 6: On to Oldale
    May, was still very upset. Max, was fortunately, still asleep. Misty, was unfortunately having to carry Max. Brock, was just... normal. And Ash, was hungry. "Man, I'm hungry!" said Ash. "Geez! We're almost to Oldale! Can't you just wait?" said Misty. "Uhh... no..." said Ash, running over to a berry patch. "MMM! These look good!" he said, picking one up. Misty grabbed him by the ear and pulled him away. "Uh... not now." she said.

    They were all walking along... and then they heard something in the bushes. "Electrode, I've sprayed an unusual enhanced type of gasoline onto you, extremely flammable. It also attracts fire Pokemon towards it. When he uses his Charizard or whatever, right when a flame hits you, use Explosion. Got it? Fail me, and you'll pay the price. Now go." said Butch.

    "What's that noise?" asked Misty. "Oh, that's my stomach, heheh..." said Ash. "Um... since when do bushes sound like stomaches?" she said. "Since now, I guess...." said Ash. An Electrode popped out of the bush, as well as a very injured Butch. "No matter how weak I am, you can't stop Project Doomsday!!" he shouted. "ELECTRODE! KILL EM!" "Ha! Yes! A Battle. This'll be easy! If I'm not mistaken, you're battling the best trainer in the world here! You should be scared!" said Ash, and before he could call out a Pokemon, Charizard came out of his Pokeball. "Ha! That's the spirit Charizard! Attack! Fire Spin!" he said. "Heheh..." Butch just quietly smirked. Right as the Fire Spin hit Electrode, he exploded, then an even bigger explosion happened, because Electrode used his attack as well. Ash, Misty, Brock, May, and Max all flew backwards through the forest.

    When they awoke, they were bruised, scratched, bloody, and weak. "Aw, gee... what the heck happened back there?" said Brock. "I dunno..." said May. "Let's go and find out." They walked back through the forest, which wasn't hard because there was a huge empty passage in which they had been shot through. When they got back on the route, there was a big crater, and Electrode was in the middle, not fainted, dead. "That Butch guy is out of his mind!" yelled May. "He's killing Pokemon just so he can defend his plan! That's terrible!" said Misty. "Well, there's really not anything that we can do..." said Ash. "He's... dead." "He's right, there's nothing we can do, we could take it to the Pokemon Center, but it wouldn't matter." said May. "Yeah, I guess I'll carry it. Man I wish this could be more fun of a journey, like most of our others." said Brock, as they walked into the sunset.
     
    The plot is definitely original (but I hate fics that use Ash, Misty and Brock, but I won't comment on that), and I appluad you for it. Either you accidentally typed in Chapter 6, or you missed out Chapter 5 completely, but either way - there's no chapter 5. The only thing that really worries me is the description. In places it was good, but in others, it was non existant. In the first chapter, there were also past-present mix-ups. It's basically the patchy decription letting this fic from becoming great. Improve on that (and will eventually improve in length once you're got it right), and this ficcould go far.
