So, I get EV training, but I'm not sure what to EV train my team in. I want their movesets to compliment their EVs or vice versa since I trained them a lot before I discovered the concept of EVs. These are my following Pokes and their movesets, I don't have items on them though.

    Luxray, Mild Nature
    Thunderbolt
    Iron Tail
    Crunch
Toxic (Couldn't decide what to put there...)

    Charizard, Quiet Nature
    Flamethrower
    Fly (In game use...)
    Shadow Claw
    Dragon Pulse

    Dragonite, Lonely Nature
    Dragon Pulse
    Thunderbolt
    Ice Beam
    Earthquake

    Lucario, Gentle Nature
    Aura Sphere
    Dark Pulse
    Earthquake
Dragon Pulse (I like Dragon moves...)

    Azelf ,Gentle Nature
    Psychic
    Water Pulse
    Thunderbolt
    Flamethrower

Empoleon, Impish Nature (My original starter)
    Surf
    Waterfall
    Ice Beam
    Brick Break
(Moveset is kinda weak now that I think about it...)

    Suggestions appreciated.

First off, EV training is only a single facet of a Pokemon- if their natures and IVs suck, then the Pokemon in turn will suck, no matter how well it was EV trained.

And looking at those natures, you're definitely gonna want to rebreed.

You're kinda screwed on Azelf, though.

At least it isn't Adamant lol. Still Weavile will OHKO you no matter what which kind of sucks.

Also get HM slaves for stuff like fly, for competitive battling the team should be 100% devoted to doing just that - battling. HM slaves are better for that cause (I'm talking to you, Tropius)

Yeah, I have an Abra somewhere that I could probably train to replace my Azelf. Anyways, re-breeding is an option, so I'll just do that, but what do I do to get certain natures? I know of Synchronize but to my knowledge Riolu is unavailable in the wild.

I know natures affect certain stats, but what sort of natures should I get for them is my question.

Try the Everstone trick. Basically, when breeding two Pokemon, give the mother (or a Ditto) an Everstone, and there will be a 50% chance that the offspring will have the nature of the mother/ Ditto. So, all you really have to do is catch a bunch of different-natured Dittos.

Shweet. Few more questions though, thanks for your patience airconditioning.

    1. What sort of natures should I get for my Pokemon? Should I just look for a nature to boost the stats they lack in?

    2. After getting the natures down, how can I get good IVs for my Pokemon?

    1) No, it's usually best to focus on a Pokemon's strengths. Unless you want to increase speed- Almost every sweeper in the game that isn't Choiced loves Speed boosts. But for reference, it's a good idea to check Smogon's Strategy Dex for each Pokemon you want to train (it's the only good thing Smogon ever did. :P).

    2) Breeding. Check the IV Breeding section in the Compiled Guides.

Airconditioning, you helped a lot, I'm glad I have a weekend coming up for me to get all this stuff nailed. I can't wait to finalize my team, especially since all the kids I know in real life are legendary-users. Thank you!
