well i trained on geodudes for DEF EVs

i trained on 26 geodudes then i leveled and i only got +3 on my def w/ Macho Brace

my gyarados is lvl 42 now since it just leveled.

can u tell me why im not getting +13 on my def???

will any1 plz help me?????????

I think you need to train on more geodudes.

once your pokemon has gained 510 evs, it can't gain anymore

if you've just started ev training then I'd say that your gyarados is maxed

The only time (I think) you could see +13 from killing 26 geodudes and leveling up is going from level 99 - level 100

That is, all your EVs, although acquired earlier in the pokemon's life, they do not show up altogether, they are evenly distributed across the levels.

However if your Gyarados does not already have maxed EVs (assuming you used the berries before killing the geodudes) then your Gyarados will indeed have +13 more defense at level 100 than one with no EVs in defense

Evs are applied gradually, reaching their maximum once the Pokemon reaches Lv. 100. All 510 EVs can be gained at any level, but their full effects won't be seen until Lv. 100.
