4th Gen EV Training

So I know how to EV train and all, but how do I make use of the Pokerus and Item (Power items, power bracer...)? For example, if I were to battle a Gyarados (2 Attack EVs) with a Pokerus infected Pokemon holding a Power Bracer, how many Attack EV's would I get?

Also where do you guys EV train? For me,

HP-
Attack- Super Rod in Mt Silver (Gyarados, Seaking)
Defense- Victory Road and Mt. Silver (Gravelers, Onix, Donphan)
Special Attack- above Mahogany town (Girafarig, Flaaffy, Mareep)
Special Defense- Surf just about anywhere (Tentacool, Tentaruel)
Speed- Ice Path (Zubat, Golbat)

Pokerus doubles the EVs you get after adding in the bonus from an item. So...
(Pokémon's EVs [1, 2, 3] + Power Item 4) x 2 = total EVs
(2 + 4) x 2 = 12 EVs from a Gyarados.

I'd list my hot spots, but I don't have any in HG/SS...I do all of my training in Platinum.
