Are the event items going to be Key Items or are they reg items that I could put on a pokemon and trade?

Well even if you do trade them it won't work unless you activate the event. It happens with all Events (I think)

By any chance was you hoping to get a clone of one if it wasen't a key item? You should know that Nintedno wouldn't do that, however remember when Nintedno GBA games could MIX RECORDS to get items? Maybe that would work with Mystery Gift?
