Hello, I'm planning a rather large nds rom hack, and I was curious if expanding an nds rom, we'll say of a size of 128mb, to the max seen, 512mb is even possible? If so, how would I do this? The amount of data I need to put into the rom far exceeds 128mb, and I believe 512mb should be plenty, at least for now.

    Is expanding even necessary, though?

I've never tried to expand it personally but if you've ever used ndstool to build a ROM it should expand/shrink the file as needed to fit all your data.

Alright, cool. I'll check that out soon.

If I go over 512mb, will the rom simply not load, or is the limit larger for the nds? I just need to know my limits...

On a side note, is there a tool for developing/hacking pokemon roms for 3ds? Like, an X rom hack?
