Expressway shootings in Illinois

Expressway, Rush hour

Sum: This has recently garnered attention as multiple shootings have occurred hours apart on the same stretch of blacktop. A previous shooting had left one man dead and a woman injured. The most recent shooting left another man (22) dead. The shootings happened roughly seven hours apart.

Why? Who? Is rush hour really that bad? Are the shootings possibly related? Who are being targeted? What should be done? Should traffic be detoured? Surprising or no? Your thoughts? Discuss.

Unfortunately this does sound like an issue with traffic. I will however postulate that the shootings happening so close together were...coincidental. I think police need to investigate further in order to see if there are any ties or links between the shootings.
