Hi guys! Master idiot Retrochomp here, using a diabolical blend of foolhardy stubbornness and the latest release of Wine to attempt to play Pokemon Fangames on a Mac M1. Insanity, I know. However, I've managed to get Wine working (after slogging through millions of dependencies). This is the final stretch.
Now to the actual issue at hand: On a PC, after downloading the Fangames and their respective Fonts, all you need to do is double click the Game.exe and click the prompt to extract the necessary files. Here's the issue: With Wine, and Mac's not being a PC, they don't give you these prompts. So I need to go through the game files and manually extract them.
And the second issue: I'm not sure how to extract them. I've poked around the files and most of them seem to be .txt's, which I could open, but I'd just be reading game-gibberish. If anyone can help me, that would be fab.
Au revoir!
EDIT: Pokemon Essentials itself works. The Fangames based on it, however, don't for some reason?
