    Allright, sorry if these don't count as games, and also sorry if only Pokemon games are supposed to go here, but I didn't see that anywhere.
    But on with it. I'm starting a new team of people to make Visual Novels, which are hugely intricate choose your own adventure books with pictures and music on a computer.
    Anyway, I'm working on a game called Kureido-hime (Princess Kraid-the name's a joke on Tsukihime, a very popular visual novel).
    Now, I'm both showing the game and recruiting for FailWorks.
    So I need someone to make the backgrounds, and someone to make the characters. And someone who can write and play music, and put it on a computer. And by someone, I mean a few someones. And I don't really need a scripter, since I'll be doing it. But if you happen to be REALLY experienced with (O)NScripter, tell me. So, if you'd like to join or encourage development, post here.
    Plot Summary:
    You play as Sam Jones (named Kraid on the internet), a Junior High student. You wake up one morning with a decision: Go to your normal forum on the internet (called QFF), or enter the most deprived, scariest, most screwed up part of the internet: the Failchan /b/ forum. Also, even though I am aware of the two paragraph requirement ,due to the nature of this game I can't really elaborate more or it would spoil it. However, I'll make it up to you all with an early version called Kraid's Nice Day, programmed only by me. Also, the backgrounds, music, and many of the sound effects are from Tsukihime in this early version, so don't say how nice my backgrounds are or my music. And there's no characters in this version, so sorry. And when you start the game, do not choose the "Go to /b/" option. That part's not done yet, and you'll get a bit of text, then the game will close.

    Update, finished Kraid's Nice Day, the first day of Kureido-hime that could also pass as a full story. It's done, except for missing a sound effect (a gunshot, actually. If you know where to find a good gunshot, that would be great. You'll get why this is needed if you play with choices 2, 2, 1, 1).
    Now, if only I could get a team...

    EDIT: There are a few glitches. Also, I decided to add more to the QFF route, so it's not final.
    And don't pick "Stay here" in the forest, that part's glitched-I'll put in a patch later.

    You know, if someone who had played had posted and given feedback, that would be really nice.
    Also, patch V0.5.0 is out now. Just extract 0new.txt and patch.bat to the folder with the game files, then open patch.bat and you'll be set!

    Also, the Hell (/b/) route is finished. In version 1.0.0, the QFF route will be less...boring. And I highly recommend playing the QFF route first (on the first choice, pick the first option).

    For the gunshot sound, try going to www.soundsnap.com. Also, the backgrounds are pretty easy to do with a normal photo and a couple of quick edits with Photoshop, just so you know. (they're nice, but absurdly easy to mimic. All you need is the right blurring effect, as well as a slight manipulation here and there, and its done. No, I am not volunteering for that job, sorry)

    For the backgrounds, google can be your friend. Also, if soundsnap didn't work out too well, try googling "free sound effects". Be careful about the sites you go to, and most of them won't have nearly the range of effects you can find at soundsnap anyway.
     
    I'm just wondering how hard it could be to get the gunshots. I might figure out wow to rip one from GTA or Halo though.
    Also, I want fresh bgs of the locations, due to not wanting to be putting much in the credits.
