Just some sketches of Pokémon I made up, done for fun. I used Paint on an old ccomputer for these, so they're nothing too stunning but I'm real proud of them, enjoy

Cattykit. A cat version of Eevee. Considering recoloring to gray. (I dunno, the pink is kinda fairy-ish, thought?) Has a few evolutions based on stones.

    Spoiler:

Catcade. The result of exposing feline Evevee clone Cattykit to a water stone.
    Spoiler:

Serpcinder. A fire type snake Pokémon. No evolutions yet.
    Spoiler:

    Dropperwat, Puddlewat and Riverwat
One of the starters in my region. The water type. I also have fire and grass types. Still working out their evolution art.
    Spoiler:

I want to do more sketches today. I really don't have anything other than paint. This is my best worl!

There is a free image editing software called GIMP that you could use, that would give you access to all manor of blending options, smudging effects and so on. You could really improve your sketches by playing around with some of the tools GIMP gives you. Of course, if you have money you can opt to buy Photoshop (if you don't wanna pirate it) but it's up to you. If you can do a pic on GIMP, I can give you some proper comments and criticism to help you improve your drawings fast.

Full out drawing in any paint like tool, using the mouse and keyboard is incredibly difficult. I recommend drawing with pencils on paper, or if you really want to go for it, getting a digital drawing tablet may help. Paint or comparable programs are great for pixela art, but because of the way they work, traditional drawing is hard to do in them. If you want to get into working with paint, I defnitely recommend looking up some tutorials on pixel art on google. I would be willing to help you find some, if that interests you.

I would like that! I do lots of drawing on paper actually. I could share those, though I must say possibly due to my lightbulbs and/or curtains, photographs will probably come out tinted and grainy.
I am also trying to draw on my tablet, let's see How that goes.

Okay, Here is a tutorial on scratching pokemon sprites: LINK
I do not recommend starting with that immediatly, but it may be handy to look at that to get how sprites are made. A tutorial for shading is linked here: LINK and is very beneficial to look at. It helps you understand all sprites better, doesn't matter what kind of work you are planning to do. A good place to start off learning spriting is recoloring and mixing. A mixing tutorial, covering everything from basic to expert is included here: LINK A good start in recoloring can be achieved here LINK
A good basis for doing shapes from scratch will be this one LINK

I hope you can do something with this! For drawing I might not be the right person to talk to, but I recommend looking up some anatomy and perspective guides to help you improve your drawing skill.
