My suggestion for Pokemon 5th generation:
(I'm proposing 150 Pokemon b/c ever since the first batch there hasn't been so many Pokemon were released at once and I think it's a good time to shove a large amount of new ones out to the fans b/c they crave a large batch of good new pokes soon.)

    1. Grass Starter, a grass Pokemon
    2. In its second stage it is Grass/Fighting
    3. Its third stage is also Grass/Fighting…like treecko-Sceptile and Breloom it stands on hind legs

    4. Fire Starter, a fire/bug pokemon
    5. its second stage is a pupal stage like pupitar's or shellgon's – fire/bug
    6. and it's third stage is a drapion-esque/tyranitaur-esque bug monster that does not fly, which is unlike many 2nd stage bug pokemon – fire/bug

    7. Water Starter, in its first 2 stages it is pure water type
    8. water type in second stage
    9. This will be the first starter in history with alternate evolutions, its evolutions take on one of two opposite secondary types, Ground or Flying based on which item you choose to level it up with. early on in the game, you'll get the choice between two. If you have not chosen this starter you'll still get the item in the game just for if you have traded for this starter or want to use the item for its simple purpose.
