Fastest way to get an Umbreon?

Hey all,

I recently got a Shiny Eevee and am wondering whats the fastest way to make it evolve. (So I can get my Shiny Umbreon <3)

Give it a Soothe Bell, that's my way of raising happiness and give it poffins/pokeblocks.

Where would I get a soothe bell?

I recommend giving the Eevee a Soothe Bell, too. Also, when I am trying to evolve Pokémon by happiness, I rarely let them battle. Also, get the lady in Veilstone City to massage your Eevee. And if you have access to the Ribbon Syndicate, get a spa treatment.

Edit:

About getting the Soothe Bell, you can get it from a maid in Mr. Backlot's mansion in D/P/P.

In FR/LG, you get it in the Pokémon Tower. It's hidden where Mr. Fugji stood.

In R/S/E, you can get it in the Pokémon Fan Club, I think.

I'm not sure where you get it in G/S/C, though.

Ah darn, it looks like I wont be able to evolve him anytime soon.

Assuming you mean D/P/Pt., when battling with the Eevee, keep it away from Eterna Forest and Route 217. Only battle with it and have it in your party at night.

If you're talking about a trade/tradeback, then it's impossible without someone actually evolving it for you. When a pokemon is traded, it's base happiness is reset every time.

GSC has no Soothe Bell. The place has been explained for the Soothe Bell, but as far as friendship goes:

- Keep it at the front of your party.
- Don't battle with it in the daytime, just to be safe.
- Give it Carbos, Iron, etc.
- Let it hold the Soothe Bell.
- Give it massages at the house in Veilstone/ Resort Area.
- Walk around with it; 256 steps adds friendship point.
- Level it up at night.
- Let it participate in important battles. (gym leaders, E4, etc.)
- Don't let it faint.
-Don't give it herbal medicine. (Revival Herb, Energy Powder, etc.)

It'll take some time, but you can do what I did at the beginning of my last Pearl playthrough to get my Budew to evolve into Roselia before lv.7.

A newly caught or traded pokemon has a base happiness of 80, and pokemon that evolve with happiness evolve at 200 happiness.
256 steps = 1 point in happiness
30720 steps = 120 points in happiness

It'll take a good while, but it works. My Budew evolved after its first level-up, and the Zubat that was in my party during this evolved into Crobat one level after it evolved into Golbat. :P

In the D/P/PL the "Eeveelutions" goes like this

Umbreon: friendly evolution at night
Espeon: friendly evolution at day
Glaceon: level up near the Ice Rock in route 217
Leafeon: level up near the Moss Rock in Eterna Forest
Flareon: give firestone to eevee
Jolteon: give thunderstone to eevee
Vaporeon: give waterstone to eevee

Water, Thunder and Fire Stones can be found in Solaceon Ruins and underground

In Emerald however is easier to get the stone since you can buy them at the pokemart

In LG/FR its impossible to evolve to Umbreon and Espeon due to the lack of clock

What about pokemon colosseum? in that game, you actually start with one.

give it lots of zincs so it's friendship will go up and it's spdef cause thats umbreons strongest stat
