Fatemon is a game where you go on an adventure with heroes from the Fate universe as pokemon, or rather as Fatemons!
The game is made with Essentials 20.1 as the base and gen 3 graphics, though it can all be improved.

Plot:
You are one of the candidates to fight the Holy Grail War, a battle between Masters who employ Fatemons in battle to qualify for making a wish on the Holy Grail. Unfortunately your fight did not go well, however you get a second chance at aiming to get to your wish thanks to the help from the mysterious BB. This second battle however is not what it seems at first glance, with multiple interests and powers working from behind the shadow. Which side will you choose, and what will be your wish?

Right now only the skeleton of the game has been made, so much has to be done to flesh it out!

To speed things up I took a lot of material and inspiration from a game that already had Fate characters in it, Pokemon Wack. The scripts for the randomizer of new Fatemons are also adaptations from script from that game. I plan to eventually change how the Fatemons work compared to that game, but it was still a lot of inspirational to start developing this project, so thanks and credits are due. Also the Pokemon Essentials package has many of the rest of the scripts used for this game, which means they also deserve a lot of credit for their good work.

- A whole bunch of Fatemons to collect instead of pokemons!
Each Fatemon has their own moveset, abilities and typing. Collect and try them all to find your favourite playstile, or master the strengths and weaknesses of your own first Fatemon!
- Classes besides types! Each Fatemon has a Class and a Type. The latter works like the usual pokemon games, while Class is a unique damage modifier that alters every offensive move of the Fatemon based on the relationship between their own Class and the opponent's (similarly to how it works in Fate Grand Order). So for example an Archer Class has a 1.5x multiplier to any kind of attack against a Saber Class pokemon and takes 0.75x damage from any attack from a Saber Class foe. These multipliers stack with ordinary ones from STAB, supereffectiveness etc, which incentives the Master to have a varied team to cover for disadvantageous Classes. The Class relationship is the same as in FGO, but in case one needs a reminder and cannot access to the internet, there's a handy key item that can be selected to check the effectiveness at any time:
- Some new types in Light, Divine and Chaos.
- Fatemons have each their own unique signature moves inspired by their Noble Phantasms!
- No capturing mechanic, instead eah battle yelds Grail Points which are stored inside the Holy Grail. You can then use those Grail Points to make a summon from dedicated Summon Chambers around the game to get a Servant selected at random from a pool. This also means that every run will be different as there's no predicting what will be your first Servant!
- Battles are almost all Double Battles, with a npc teammate that always accompanies you. Some npcs unlock key items that allow you to turn on/off and change what npc is currently your teammate (similarly to how in FGO every fight you have the support from a friend Master). This means that despite the Class system one can play the game with just the starter Fatemon by careful planning which supportive npcs accompany them. Or you can turn the system off and play the Double Battles with two of your own Fatemons, if you don't like the randomness of having a npc helping during fights!
- Important NPCs are recognizeable by an aura above them. This lets you either take your time to talk to every other NPC in the map to gather relevant informations, resources etc, or just rush faster towards the goal!
What is currently looking for:
Right now only the skeleton of the game has been made, so much has to be done to flesh it out!
- Artists! Unfortunately my artistic skills are absent, so I had to improvise by stealing temporarily borrowing sprites and images from official sources. Even so I still made a mess with the size of the pics, positioning etc. Front sprite and back sprite of all the Fatemon is needed! Also aesthetic things like the Class icons can definitely be improved, as while they are working they're not well made by me, so anyone with art in their veins is well accepted! Ideally we might replace official art of the Fatemons with fan ones to make the game more unique and fun to play!
- Writers! I had to rush the creation of the Fatemons, so the Fatemondex entries need to be replaced and corrected. We need to invent entries for every Fatemon and there's hundreds of them, so a lot of work to write! Also the correct weight and height has to be changed in the PBS, which is a lot to do. And the Noble Phantasm of all the Fatemon must be thought and updated, as everything put so far is basically just placeholders to make tests to the game features. Much research, thinking and tinkering is needed!
- Mappers! Right now only the intro and first fight is made, maps have to be done, encounters and fights planned and a world to be made!
- Scripters: I cannot claim to be a good scripter and many solutions in this game are quite cheap and can likely be improved a lot. Also more scripters means that more Noble Phantasms and other unique features of the game can be done faster and more often, quickening the production of new Fatemons!
