Features in a Modern Pokemon MMO?

First post, woo! Hopefully in the right place. :3c

I know the topic is done to death, but I really wanted to talk about ideas for what a "Modern" day Pokemon MMO would look like in today's market.

In a recent Pokemon GO article, I read the company wasn't looking to copy the current format of the Pokemon games, but instead make a new, equally fun, experience. If a Pokemon MMO were to ever come out, I think it would have to follow this same way of thinking, because the current format is not that ideal for an MMO.

Here are some features I think it would include.

Pokemon Breeding and Shiny Pokemon: Only pokemon in their final evolution can breed, and only with pokemon of the same breed or a (end-game drop/cash shop exclusive) Ditto. Shiny Pokemon can no longer be caught in the wild, only bred. More common Pokemon produce Shiny offspring at a higher rate than rarer ones. Ex. Blastoise M + Blastoise F = Possibly shiny Squirtle.

Gotta Catch See 'em All: To add more "realism" (and extend the longevity of the game), players will not have the financial ability to catch hundreds of Pokemon right away. After receiving a dozen for free, Pokeballs will be a expensive, increasing in Price based on Pokeball Rank, and PokeStorage will increase in small increments after defeating a Gym Leader or member of the Elite 4 in the many different regions. An easier quest will be offered, alongside the "Catch All" mission, by the region's Professor, asking the Trainer to instead see 'em all. Pokemon would automatically be scanned by your Pokedex during Battles. If a Follow Trainer feature was available, where Pokemon follow you on the world map, a "scan target" option would be available to scan other players Pokemon.

Legendary Pokemon: These Pokemon will appear in certain areas during certain spawn conditions on the Open World Map, and can be scanned with your Pokedex to complete the "Gotta See 'em All" quest. To complete the "Gotta Catch 'em All" mission, players must complete certain Quest-Lines, which end in a battle against the Legendary. ((Legendaries can only be used in Free-Style PvP Battles.))

Pokemon Battles: For Balancing Purposes, Pokemon, regardless of level, are given a Tier depending on their size, and current evolution. For example a Tier 3 Pokemon (without type advantage) would be able to defeat Tiers 0 and 1 easily, and do great against Tier 3 and 4 Pokemon. Only the best move sets and EVs would work against Tier 5 Pokemon. Tier 6+ would be impossible. These tiers would stop Caterpies from killing Mewtwos, and players with just a Tier 3 Pokemon from rushing off to fight one of the harder Tier 6 Gym Leaders. Of course, during Free-Style PvP Style Battles, this feature could be disabled.

Pokemon Abilities: Replacing the modern day MMO Equipment feature, and due to the limits on the number of Pokemon you can catch, the "Forget Move" system will be removed, and Pokemon can equip any 4 of the abilities they have learned through leveling/breeding/TMs/HMs at any time outside of battle.

Surf, Fly, and Quick Fly: Surf and Fly are only useable by Pokemon of a certain size and up. While Surf and Fly act as a mount system to roam around the Open World, Quick Fly does become available to act as a Teleport.

Stuff like player crafting based on berries, player owned gyms, or different regions seemed a bit too easy to mention in their own bullet point, but of course those would be featured.

Can you guys think of any other, maybe more controversial ideas?
