First I'd like to say that the PC is huge and magnificent place for Pokemon fans. Seriously, the users are friendly (at least so far have been) and the place is immensly HUGE -- and I'm not overexaggerating. That's of my feedback for the forum.

And now to the suggestion -- of which I have already PMed to one of the Adminstrators, but I guess he/she was too busy to answer. (This was near my join date, January 31st, after which I didn't visit the forum much anymore). That was only a quick visit, to check if PC was intrested of taking my suggestion forward, after I realized I wouldn't be having an answer in a long, long, long long time, I left the PokeCommunity boards.

But today, I came back to check things out here. I realized that this forum is like a paradise, lots of people -- friendly people -- to get to know to and a lot of forums and sub-forums for tens of different things. You don't see that many often. And as nearly as whopping 10,000 members, I almost fell off my chair. I scrolled down the list of forums, but the one that I personaly lusted so much, wasn't there. I mean, a big forum like this with even forum for Roms and emulating and six forums that are very Pokemon related, but I wondered, where on earth is your ANIME STYLE BATTLING forum?

The smaller -- not necessary lesser -- forums with less people and totally different atmosphere -- maybe even in negative way -- have ASB league of their own. Pokemasters, Pojo, Pokemonfanuniverse, and many very small ones with less than 100 members. I humbly apologize my lack of knowledge and information if it happens to be that there has been an ASB or similar in this forums and for some reason it hasn't worked -- or for any other event or reason why there is no ASB around here.

This is me being curious; I'd like to know why there is no ASB and would the adminstrator or the one in the head of decisions like this, be interested in PC's own Pokemon Battling League.

P.S. If I sound, for some reason, angry or mean or whatever, it's not my intention :nervous:

EDIT: *gasp* I misread the rules. Nevermind about the con I mentioned earlier...

Er, could you kinda explain what that is? XD
Since I'm sorry if I sound kinda rude, but I don;t have a clue what you're going on about unless I have some information about it, XD

ASB is like an RP-type battling thingy. They have one at SPPf and BMGf, if you want to see for yourself.

*whacks his palm against forehead* I've been practising this a lot lately. *whacks again*

No, you're not rude at all, I didn't just think logically. How on earth are you supposed to know anything about ASB if you have never heard of it before... *whacks forehead*

    *Takes deep breath*

Ookey, so where do I begin. ASB comes from Anime Style Battling, the name itself already refers to what people do. They battle anime style. The rules can be quite complex, or at least look like that, but in reality, it's fairly simple. Two trainers and one referee engage in a battle.

Trainer A does commands and so does trainer B, after that, the referee (Trainer C) refs the round, makes all necessary randomizing and posts the results in a short novel, that explains what happens in the battle. That is the basic idea.

Trainers can form businesses of their own to make money or just battle and ref hard to make ends meet. With money, you can do the things the other busineses offer. Bank and Team Approval topics take care of recording your achievements, although you yourself need to post what has happened and provide a link to the topic. ASB has one difference to anime as well, some of them use signature moves. This a move that only one Pokemon can learn (there are few exceptions done) and the effects of the attack depends on the creator of the sig. Of course, there are few rules and regulations of making the signature move, not making it too power.

Another difference is that there are no stats in ASB whatsover, because they would complicate the already quite complex and slow process of reffing. Also, the Pokemon learn immadeutly ALL the moves they can learn as well as what their pre-evolution forms learn. When I have the time, I'll copy&paste a match reffing sample from Pokemonfanuniverse's (where I work as a moderator) ASB, so you can get a picture of what the battles are like.

Mind you though, there are differences in ASBs. For example, the ASB in Pokemasters doesn't use money and no businesses exist there. They use points, which you earn from reffing and winning battles. We have also thought about implementing levels and thus, eliminating the "learning of all moves immadeutly" in PFU, but the idea needs a lot of working.

I know it sounds complex, but it isn't. I'll try to re-phrase my wordings and write an article of ASB of somesort, but I don't have the time right now (It's 0:55 AM here). But how does it sound so far?
