Obviously since I'm here I like playing pokemon, but I'm sure I'm not alone in my frustration that the game keeps expanding and creating half hearted versions that don't measure anyone close to the first three generations. That said I have nothing against Nintendo making more money off new versions that they make but for the sake of us long time veterans and dedicated players could they at least make the one game with ALL the regions, legendary, pokemon, and gym leaders? I know some people think that a version like that wouldn't work or be crap but no one can deny that it would be a lot more entertaining and fulfilling to play. Everyone feel free to comment and maybe if we can get enough people to support this nintendo may consider the possibilities of maybe making something like this :P

There was an interview a good while back where they asked if Pokemon would have something like this. Matsuda said no. Something like that would most likely be on a home system which isn't what Gamefreak or Pokemon stand for. While its possible, he didn't intend to do anything like this.

This was sometime after the Mana Ibe saying Black and White was the last of this Gen's games. At least that's when I found it.

I'm not really surprised but still anything is possible you have to admit that something like this would be awesome.

Its a double edged sword cause the fans would have extremely high expectations and there would be an extremely high chance of disappointment. Not every person likes all the same things. A lot of the stuff that was constantly removed from the games, I didn't like so I was glad they were removed.

A lot of people think there are some thing that need improving or things that need to be removed for such a game to exist while others think that the things should stay and are fine as they currently are.

Would people still buy it? Yes, but it would have as much popularity as a Spin Off at best.

Oh, the "all regions in one game" thing again. Time to drag out my bullet list...
*100 levels divided by 5 regions means that each region can only cover an average of 20 levels. Even Johto, which had the smallest level range, still covered up to 50. To fit within the 100 level cap, the regions will have to be as dumbed down as Kanto in G/S/C
*Or the game could force you to completely abandon your team of six Pokemon which you invested hours into raising and planning out members, movesets, etc. and make you start over. In which case, what's the point of having all the regions in one game if you can't carry over your Pokemon? That essentially makes it five separate games on one cartridge/disc/etc. That doesn't make sense either.
*What if you don't particularly care for one or more regions? For me, that's Hoenn. For some of my friends, it's Unova. Why buy a game if part of it includes a place you don't like?
*How would all five regions be connected in a coherent storyline? Or, would it be, as I mentioned above, like five completely different games on one cart? Who would be the overall champ of all five regions (please for the love of God don't say Red...)? What about the bad guys? What group could be large enough to operate in all five locales?
*Would there be two versions of this so-called "ultimate" game? If so, how could they be "ultimate" if you can't complete the Pokedex in either? If not, it's breaking a tried and true Pokemon tradition.

There, I think that covers all of why such a game is highly unlikely. And why if it somehow does see the light of day, I won't be buying it.

We already have similiar topic somewhere but it's good to say few things.

    - Nintendo DS catridge can hold data of one Pokémon game, then it's pretty much full. So it can't hold data of many games and making new catridges would be whole new thing.

    - It would be pretty boring if you have to wait 10 more years until next 'ultimate' game and you probably have all of them already before next 'ultimate' (Pokémon games, not ultimate).

And pretty much everything what Elite Overlord said.
