So I'm new to ROM hacking, so be ready to explain things.
My problem is that there is zero texts when I talk to people, signs, ECT. The Text box is just blank.
I first expanded the ROM with PGE.
I then applied a Decap patch, and everything still worked.
I then also applied a DS 64x64 Sprite patch. Everything still worked.
I replaced certain Pokemon sprites with (new) other Pokemon sprites, and everything still worked, and I made a backup after this.
However, I changed the typings, IVs and EVs, learned moves, and Pokedex data of the new Pokemon, I opened up the ROM again, and when I talked to people, they had no text, just a blank text box.
Do I have to go back to my backup, or is there a fix? And if I have to go back, how do I avoid the same issue?
