as soon as I load this forum's homepage, Firefox will freeze for about two whole minutes then be OK... after it unfreezes I hear a computer beep... it does this maybe 60% of the time I visit and 85% of the time I visit after 5PM EST, is this a website problem or something, this is the ONLY site that has this problem

it's likely related to the javascript loading.. maybe you don't have enough free ram, or some other browser related issue..

do you use any ad / script blocking plugins for ff?

AdBlock Plus I use, AdBlock Plus I use, AdBlock Plus I use, Had say that 3 times due to this stupid 25 minimum character limit

"Yes, I use AdBlock Plus to block ads."

30 characters right there. And, technically you would have only had to say it twice, so please don't try to over-dramatize the simplest rules to follow. Just because you're too lazy to write a proper sentence and choose to type like Yoda, doesn't justify hating a rule. Thank you for your input, however, and have a lovely day!

As for your problem, it has to be with your browser or any add-ons you may have. We can give you basic troubleshooting, but since it isn't actually a problem with our site, it would be a lie to say we can fix your issue for you. You'll likely have to take a look at your computer and isolate the issue if it really is anything Rukario said.

make sure you're not blocking googleapis.com as it loads the ajax javascript from there.
