First Person Shooters?

    It seems like many people here don't play a lot of FPS games, at the most Halo/Halo2 for the XBox...

    Any people here who play FPS extensivly? If so, what's your favourite?

    I'm finally getting into CS:Source. I never liked CS 1.6, and I was more into UT (and other "sport" type FPS).
    But once you get used to it, hey, its quite fun!
     
    I only play Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Echoes. Does that count?
     
    I love all FPS except for Halo.

    My favorites are definately Counter-Strike, Red Faction, and Times Splitters
     
    I like to play Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Halo 2, Timesplitters 3, and Call of Duty 2.

    I love FPS...most of my PS2 games are FPS. One of my favorites is probably MGS2:SOL

    Wow, quite a lot of people here :D And yes, I love Half-Life too.

    Sigh, if only MGS was a first person shooter/sneaker...

    Exactly. Cause it's not a first person shooter. It's only first person when you use the sniper rifle. Also when you hold R1, but you dont really need to use it and you can only look, when you press it. You cant run around or anything.
     
    Hey, has anyone played F.E.A.R. yet?
    The exassurated blood spary effects at slo-mo activated is amazing!

    It's also good to see how it has elements of Japanese horror (like The Ring).
     
    Not many people here at PC like first-person shooters. They're too attached to Final Fantasy, Tales of Symphonia, Kingdom Hearts, and other such games. Disgusting. Gordon Freeman or the Master Chief could pwn any character in any of those games (except for maybe Vincent Valentine).

    Personally, I like Halo, Half-Life, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike 1.6, mainly because they're the only shooters I play. I've tried Team Fortress, but I wasn't much for it; I haven't tried Halo 2, Call of Duty 2, Killzone, any of the games in the Unreal series, or any FPS based on the Source engine.

    You should try HL2 then. It isn't really spec. intensive compared to other new FPS's, and it even runs on my crappy laptop!
    Plus, Gordon looks more buff.

    Nice! Tell me if DoD:Source is good, so I might think of getting it too!

    I've actually never been a fan of historical FPS's, but the new "film grain" and "motion blur" effect Valve is planning for DoD:Source looks amazing!
     
    i would play any FPS that you gave me and still rule at it.
    halo1/2
    metal of honer
    call of duty
    anything and star wars battle front1/2
     
    I just got Perfect Dark for the N64 today and it has to be a contender for best FPS ever.
     
    I don't generally like FPSs that much, but I really like Halo for the PC, as well as all of the classic DOS FPSs like Doom, Duke Nukem, and Wolfenstein.
     
    I play Halo because I'm a mainstream noob
     
    Ooh, I love FPS games~ they're fun. <3

    Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike 1.6//Source would probably my favorite. I've only played few FPS games to claim that it's the best FPS, but these two are just <3 for me. I suppose Call of Duty was fun, too, but I still prefer Half-Life and CS.
