First time EV training. need help

I just battled a Lv.3 Sentret with my Lv.1 Honchkrow holding a Power Bracer. My Honchkrow fainted but will it still gain 4 ATK EVs from the Power Bracer?

If it got no exp, then I don't think it will. You're better off asking in the Simple Questions and Answers thread in either the DPPt forum or the HGSS forum.
