    That said, I think the most important things we should go over are the rules, prizes (most likely emblems only), who'll make the emblems/emblem names/emblem descriptions, what kinds of trivia we should have (it shouldn't be all Pokemon-related, after all :P), who'll be in charge of each night, who'll be in charge of each category, and who'll be making the thread. If anything, I can supply CSS in a heartbeat.

    Anyhoo, from what I remember from past Trivia threads, each night was dedicated to a certain category (such as General Pokemon Trivia the first night, Video Game Trivia the second night, etc.). Iirc, the first person to answer a question correctly got a certain number of points, the second half that, and then any other posters afterwards didn't get any. I'm actually not too sure on the last part (it's too bad we can't see previous threads D:), but I think it's a given that the first person with the correct answer gets points XD Then, whoever had the most points by the end of the Get-Together got a first place emblem, the person with the second most points got a second place emblem, and everyone else got Participant emblems (we could also give those out to the first/second place winners, too).

    I have my own ideas, but I wanna hear what ideas you guys have, Magma and Tom~ (hope you don't mind me calling you guys by those names ><;) And if anyone else who can see this thread has his/her own suggestions, feel free to drop me a PM!
     
    Okay, here I go:

    All three of us pick a topic and a day. My topic is "General Pokemon Trivia" day 1/2/3/4
    I actually don't know what day will work for me as of now.... lol.

    First day person makes the thread and fills it with the official rules we create and agree on here. Then the put the trivia question on the OP too, and the trivia genre, and the host.

    First to get it right posts their answer. They get a point. By the end of the event..... (Times are another thing we will decide on) we give #1 an emblem and poke, #2 an emblem, and everybody a participation emblem. Pokemon supplier shall be decided here, and Roswell will make the emblems.

    That leaves one night where nobody is doing nothing you say?
    Well, that night can be open mike. We all are hosts together, but the genre is "freestyle" and we accept trivia from the crowd! We will all put some in too.

    If you don't host that particular night, you are allowed to participate that night!

    So here are the only undecided things/problems left:

    -how do we make it so that all three of us can edit the OP on the thread?
    First post is heading and rules. 2nd 3rd and 4th are our personal OPs for each night.
    For the all together free style night, we use the very first post, the rules one. Once the night is over we delete that nights OP and if it's not yet that nights turn, that nights OP will just read: trivia night 2 or which ever night it's for. Of course we don't delete the rules op when we are done, but we delete the stuff we added to it for that night. Since what I just said is so confusing, here is an example of what the thread would look like.

    Night one

    Night one host: rules and what this event is
    Night one host: trivia genre, trivia question, trivia host.
    Night two host: night two trivia
    Night three host: night three trivia

    Night two, night ones trivia post is now deleted

    Night one host: rules, what this event is about
    Night two host: trivia question, host, etc
    Night three host: night three trivia

    Night three, night twos post got deleted.

    Night one host: rules, times, what the events all about
    Night three host: trivia question, host, time, etc.

    Night four, third nights post deleted

    Night one host: rules times, prizes, that stuff Night four trivia corner! Trivia question, times, scoreboards, etc.

    So, things we still need to decide on:
    Rules
    Times
    Who hosts when and their genre
    Poke prize donator
    What the emblems will look like

    I would like to do the pokemon general day which should either be the penultimate or last day if it's not the last day than the "freestyle" theme should be the last one ^_^
    I think the emblem should be a four sided star one side for each day and it should be colorful with a black background. The second place emblem should be a pic of Cheren (brainy guy) with the number 2 in a though bubble.
     
    Will the 4 categories be completely different? Because (and i'm just spitting out here) I think they should each be categories based on Pokémon. One about the Pokémon itself, maybe another category on the games, moves, etc. This is a Pokémon-based forum after all.
     
    I see, so like:

    Night 1: PokeGame Trivia
    Night 2: PokeShow Trivia
    Night 3: PokeManga Trivia
    Night 4: Trivia Free-For All

    Wicked! Love it! Done! 3 poke nights and one mega awesome all trivia night!
    And it's an overall point winner, not each night, right?

    I'd just like to throw out a test question, k?

    Which two generation2 pokemon first appeared on the show?
    And another,
    Which pokemon replaced moltres in a art piece symbolizing the three legendary pokemon shown at the beginning of episode 2?
     
    The thing is, it didn't sound like this event was supposed to be only Pokemon-related, else it would've been in the Pokemon Activities section. I mean, I suppose we could always ask Hiroshi about it, but Idk.

    This is how I see it:

    Night 1: Pokemon Trivia (anime, game, and maybe one or two Pokemon Special/Adventures-related questions because there aren't too many manga readers out there)
    Night 2: Video Game Trivia
    Night 3: Television Trivia (limit the number of anime-related questions, though)
    Night 4: Miscellaneous Trivia (the three or however many of us hosts throw out random (but not too random) questions and people get bonus points)

    already have tons of questions planed for the last day ;-)
    If it isn't only pokemon related I think the themes should be
    televison/movies
    literature
    pokemon and
    other media/current events for the last day
    we should throw insome historical trivia in too like what was the first pokemon produced
     
    Pokemon-related history only, right? Because if it's general history it'd be unfair to ask questions that only people from the country of the history's origin would know.

    Anyways, something I was thinking was that if we do Pokemon Trivia is to not bring up EVs or IVs since plenty of people don't know what the heck they are, what they do, etc. I just want a fair game where no one has an advantage, you know?

    General Knowledge freestyle thing (another duh)

    Good list? All are balanced, and everybody knows something about all those categories!
     
    First Day: TV and Movie Trivia
    Host: Roswell

    Second Day: Video-Game Trivia (no pokemon)
    Host: Magma and Aqua

    Third Day: Pokemon Trivia
    Host: Tomandgreen

    Fourth Day: General Trivia
    Hosts: All of us should equally host it!

    I still think Pokemon should be the first night 'cause it'll probably attract the most people XD; However if you moved it to the third night due to scheduling conflicts then that's totally cool. Overall, I'm happy to host the TV and Movie trivia! Gonna be tempting not to use anything from the second part of the 7th Harry Potter film, though.

    Now, with the schedule out of the way, there's still some other things we need to figure out:

    A. Times. I run on EST (-5:00; right now it's past 9:30 where I am). In my timezone, I'd recommend starting 18:00 (6:00 PM) keeping in mind timezones in Europe and Australia (it'd be 23:00/11:00 PM in London and 8:00 in Sydney).

    B. Rules. One that comes to mind is to not use any sort of search engine, and while we can't keep track of what everybody does, we can still trust that they won't use such a thing. Another rule is to follow PC's general rules (which should be a given, but you never know). So things like double posting (accidental's fine) and bypassing the four words rule wouldn't be allowed. And, possibly, to enforce such, we may have to discount anyone who does so even if they have the right answer.

    C. Emblems. The four-sided star idea seems nice, but it seems sort of ambiguous. And while I do like the Cheren idea that seems more well-fitted for Pokemon Trivia only. However, there are a lot of things affiliated with "trivia" and "brains", so at least it isn't impossible to come up with something.

    D. Who'll Make the Thread. Like I said, I can supply CSS in a heartbeat if need be. And if any one of us needs to edit it'd probably be good to PM the thread creator (or a staff member).

    That's all I have to offer. Forgive me if I'm sounding bossy in any way; I really don't mean to ><;
     
    A. The time should be pacific coast as 2/3 of us are there (me!) and it's not too far from the thirds timezone. Roswell, you are 3 hours ahead of us, ok?

    B.All of those sound good, yeah, that'll do.

    C. 1st place emblem..... An owl in a star with a golden first place!
    2nd place emblem..... Cheren with a silver 2nd place!
    Participation..... In purple text "I am not smarter than a 6th grader."

    D. You Roswell! ;) just be extra active all four of the days..... Still working on a system where we all can edit.... Special account???

    And more questions:

    E. Which pokemon to give and the supplier.
    F. Exact times are still needed.....
     
    Regarding timezones, I think I can work Pacific.

    Regarding emblem suggestions, I like the owl and star idea. As for Cheren, I previously stated that he'd be better for an all-Pokemon-related event. But the goddess of wisdom (Athena, if I recall correctly?) would be a good idea. Maybe that could be swapped with the owl for first and second :> Finally, the "I'm Not Smarter than a Sixth Grader" idea sounds a bit offensive, not to mention that it implies that this was a battle of wits. Just because someone is intelligent does not necessarily mean that they're good at trivia. Likewise, someone who gets poor grades in school might be really, really good at trivia and would do well in something like Cash Cab or Jeopardy :> That said, maybe the Participant emblem could be related to one of those game shows?

    Regarding the thread maker, I'm cool with it if Magma is~ The idea of a special account would be kind of hard to do though 'cause we have to get the thread up before a certain time, and I think this entire section would still be invisible to non-organizers. So like I said, PMs would probably work best. My PM box is open to everyone, so if there's something you need to say regarding the first post, drop me a PM and I'll totally look into it/fix it.

    Regarding giving out a Pokemon, I honestly think that wouldn't be a good idea since, as stated previously, this isn't entirely Pokemon-related. There's also an Egg Swap going, as well as a Raffle for the 72 Hour Marathon thing, so yeah. Not only that, but we'd probably want to give out a Pokemon with good IVs, maxed out EVs, shiny, Pokerus, etc. else it wouldn't be that good a prize. It's hard enough getting all that, and while there's always PokeGen, I dunno if people would be receptive to receiving a "created" Pokemon.

    Finally, times. It's hard to set up a decent time for North Americans, Aussies, and Europeans because North Americans would be fully awake early in night while Europeans are either asleep or getting ready to sleep and Aussies are just getting up. I'd suggest different times each day to make it fair, but that'd probably be hard to follow, y/y?
     
    we need a middle time, I would like it to be pacific but I think eastern might be best as it's closer to the the other continental time zones
    and I agree with roswell the 6 grader emblem sounds offensive...how about I tried but mostly I guessed though that would sound like they just guessed...
    so who should the thread maker be?I can do it if you two want
     
    Guys, it's crunch time.

    Time: pacific People! It's easier that way! 10 am to 4pm each day!
    Emblems: make them people! Star and owl and Athena are our symbols!
