[Question] Free (or inexpensive) music composition software for making a Pokemon track?

Hi everyone! I'm making a fangame at the moment and felt inspired to create an original music track for my game. I want to make an orchestral track that sounds like it could be from Gen 4 (or even better quality.) But I don't know of any free software that with realistic sounds. I'm not a professional musician or anything, but I understand music composition and have arranged plenty of music in the past using Noteflight. On YouTube I was listening to remixers like Zame and Pokestir and was wondering if it's possible for me to make similar music (without spending hundreds of dollars on software.)

Does anyone have any suggestions for free (or inexpensive) software to write fairly realistic-sounding music? Does such a thing even exist? Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
