I've been working on replacing Pokemon in Fire Red, and one thing that concerns me is that in PGE new sprites have automatic offsets, while G3HS offers to search for them; invariable, the offsets are always in the 0x700000 range; I've always seen that one must ALWAYS use FSF and ALWAYS start from 0x800000.

So are offsets from 0x700000 safe to use?

You can define the offset to start searching for free space in the ini. PGE supports mass importing so it would not make sense to put an offset for each image.
