Hey everyone sorry I'v been gone so long. There was alot of probs with some other boards.

Anyway

I'm soooooo glad we have are own oekaki here now ^_^ Now I can draw for Pc users without giving them a link or just mailing them the drawing o.o

It's been a while sence I'v been in a Forum that had there own oekaki. Well... At least sense the Pwc and Df forum shut down.

And heres for the original lovers.
These are my hand drawings from the last week.
This is for my friend alyssa's birthday^^

And this is a unicorn I made for my moms friend Margy. She loves unicorns.

The close up is to show detail... But I didint know I took the last one in 1200X1600 So I dont think You'll realy need th close ups but there here anyway for those that cant wait for the big one.

And heres a drawing I made for anthony's birthday. I'm still working on it right now but today I'm going to be coloring it then I'm ganna send it to him on his birthday.
A very detailed demon like dragon. He always asks for one but I try not to draw it cause I dont like making evil dragons. but this is for his birthday so I'm giveing him exactly what he wants ^^ I hope you all like the sketch for now. But it's ganna be done shortly. So I'll repost here when it is.

:D I love the last dragon. I like how it looks. Dragon's aren't evil because of what they look like. I also really like the unicorn. What kind of colored pencils are you using? You could really use a scanner. :P Acctually you can get them sort of cheap, these days scanners cost $20 with rebates at your local office supply store (like Office Max or Staples)
That black dragons looks so cool it looks awesome how he's sitting on the orange, umm, orb...
I like it that you give your creatures some muscle gives a nice realistic touch. I'm sorry I don't have more construtive critisism for you, it's just your art is very nice compared to what I've seen. It has much effort put into it :)

i love the first dragon, its so happy looking. you captured a nice emotion there. does it have boobs? O_O i like the bright colors and shading.

The bright colors where to help make it happy like and show off some Zelda like cells.
Yeah it's a female and I didint have time to put in the scales there so I had to deal with the shading , XD lol.

And It's okay. I'v had alot of construtive critisism, I think thats why you couldint give more lol It's nice to know^^.

And as for the effort I dont like to draw inless I can put my best into it. All my drawings are progress on the last drawing and that drawing is a drawing to make more progress. ect. My drawings are always getting better and the style forever changes. For a short time I was working on only shading styles so I did alot of grayscale drawings.
Now that thats mastered I'm working on doing the same in color.
And so far it's great.

The scanner thing wouldint be a bad idea but we already have one, only problem is that my mom wont plug it in so I havta use my sisters camra.
And as for the Colored pencils. I use you'r every day ordanary Crayola and Color club pencils^^. I got a whole bunch of em 3 years ago and mixed them together so they can all be in one box.

The type never realy mattered for I only look for the brightest or most pestel like pencils to color in many of my drawings anyway. Sometimes Crayola has a good vibrant selection, And other times the pestels in Color club and Center pencil work nicely.

I try to mix all of them in alot of my drawings so Center pencil , color club and crayola are all in the same drawing. For the unicorn I used color club for the bg and crayola for the unicorn.

And for the dimar on a birth stone pearl. I used crayola all the way.
Right now I'm doing the Anthony's shadow dragon With all three .

Found Color club and Center Pencil at Kmart and I find Crayola everywhere.
Havta say my favorite is the Color club so I use it most of the time.
Though color club has a line of pastels I love there tones when doing cards and posters. There also Strong againced rubing when it comes to poster board.

I wasint abile to finish the Anthony's Shadow dragon yesterday so I'm ganna try and finish it today. So far I'v done the bg and now I'm doing the dragon. Heres a update:

FINALY!
After a one day postponed veiwing The Anthony's shadow dragon is finished and ready for being his birthday present!

Here it is everyone.
I loved the shading and the eye turned out okay, But I could have done better on it.
However the rest of the drawing is cool and I was abile to use all thre kinds and make them look good together.

wow that is one intricate drawing! the village is not quite convincing (because the proportions of houses to trees are off- or the trees are ginormous), but i do love the trees and rocky mountains and all.
the best is the pose of the dragon, i like the way youve positioned his body on the peak... the muscles on his arms and wings are done very well. i like the way his tail curls around the bottom, and i love the expression.
very nice!

Lol I didint say why they where o.o? oops

It was ment to be a drawing of the dragon climbing to the peek and at ground level is a whole town. They live in a place that hasent changed for years. No trees where cut and the river is as big as ever. (wich helps keep them hidden and away from outsiders.
The dragon is protecting the village and his master lives in the castle.
At the same time the cave way up on the high area of the moutan rich in garnet(january's birthstone)

Is home to a whole land of dragons just beyond the trees.
There land is as hidden as thge village but only the king knows that there in there o.o
The village never even heard of a dragon!
Untill this one go's way out of it's way to search for food.

And thats the story of the drawing ^^ lol
Just a fun little thing and a hidden birthday present for my bf anthony .

Thanks for the comment on the dragons body. He was alot of fun to do and the musles where a added effect I did for more shading practice.
On almost all my dragons that are on cliffs or peeks they have there tail around it for balace and a ferm grasp.
That way when they go to fly off there tail dosint make em loose balace.

I made the expression by mistake when it was ment to be evil like o.o It ended up looking cerios but thats okay ^^ I'm glad you like it .
I hope to do more drawings here from now on. And maybe we can see each others skills build ^_^

I want to see that dragon in a scanner =P I love it :D
Best things about it: I just love the angle you drew it at. And the colors you picked.
You shall buy Prismacolors xP Do you have a Jo-Anns near you? If you do they give out those 40% off coupons, then go buy a pack of at least 48 prismacolors, more if you can afford it. If you don't, then buy maybe something like a 36 pack (again, more if you can afford it) at your local craft store. Prismacolors are pricey but they are the best pencils ever! And your style seems to fit them just perfectly, the only thing Prismacolors do are burnish and they do it great.
You don't have to buy them of course if you are perfectly happy with crayola I just think they would be great for you and your art if you bought some.
Buy a smaller 24 pack if you aren't sure and might just want to try...
I might have the pack sizes wrong so don't yell at me for not knowing...xP

Intill we get are own computer my mom said it would be best to wait.

Thanks for the pencil idea. I'v tryed them befor and I wasint ready for em.
I have a hobby lobby near by and they let you pick em out in a big box.
Like 150 pencils is 20$ and they have 600+ color shades there. I would buy a 230 for starters.
5 shads of red two of black three of gray four white 6 of orange yellow green blue purple bronze gold brown pink and tan ect.

I like how they work but on some pictures they where almost to vibrent lol.
I also use artistchalk,paint and crayons sometimes but it depends on my mood with those ones ^^.

I'll be doing a how to draw t00t (revived) in less then 20 minutes.

I will be making it in a pose but then I have some helpful tips for you to change the pose and do it you'r own way.
There will also be a sub area that everyone can post there shading ideas on drawings so that others can learn from em and do those as well.

It will be a how-To-Shade thred.
The shading thred will be done laiter in the week.

I also plan to show my photo at a thred dekota showed me with his picture on it^^
You can comment on me if you wish but at the same time.

I know my hair is frizy but I like it that way.
My pimples is cause I just got over a cold.

I know the shads are off a little and I could have changed colores more smoothly.
Also the neck is short and thick..

I was just board threw the weekend so I finished making this on thursday.
It was fun so I whent all the way with it and came up with this:

You really need some type of tutorial on shading with colored pencils. Of course I do too, my colored pencil drawings are poop ;_; I need more practice.
I rarely just sit down for an hour to work on art, I mostly doodle. It's fun ^____^

And for the info on the cats.

The tiger was done with color club and pencil center pencils.
And the Linx Was done with a normal #2 pencil and the sun XD I left it on my windowsill for three days .

The tiger took 25 hours total and the linx.. I think I already menshend the time.
They where both alot of fun and great bordom killers and gifts.
The linx is a drawing I did mearly for myself( o-o it's rare to do that XD)
And the White tiger was for my mom , Why? no reason.... I just know she loves white tigers and I was bord so , :shrugs:
