I would wish to continue creating games. However, I do not have RMXP. I used to, but my computer caught a terrible virus, forcing me to reformat my computer. Is there another alternative to Pokemon Essentials?

You can try your hand at ROM hacking, other than that I don't know of any methods of making pokemon games. but is there no way you could get RMXP back?

So far, what I know for making a Pokémon game is either romhacking or RPG Maker Starter Kit.

Maybe there are other ways, but it's either unknown for me or not ready yet (I saw some people making their own Pokémon engine, but not finished projects).
