[Tool] Gen 4 Hacking Tools

    Hello all,

    I'm looking for a list of tools that work for Gen 4 DS ROMs, specifically Plat and HG/SS. Is there any way to edit the DS ROM C code directly like emerald? I am capable with Java, Python, and C so anything that puts that to use is a plus.

    My main objectives are to edit the teams of trainers/leaders, edit the evolutions of some pokemon, and change the wild encounter possibilities. There are other things I'd like to do but these are the most important.

    It seems like many of the tools that come up with a quick google search are very dated and I see lots of reports that they cause crashes, is this just the state of the dev environment, or are their any newer but less popular options?

    The gen 4 decomps are still very unfinished but the source code for DP/Pt was leaked some time ago so you could edit the original source code if you wanted to.
    But since none of the things you mentioned require editing code it might be easier to just use hacking tools instead. I'm not familiar with gen 4 hacking but DSPRE and Pokeditor seem like newer tools which might be able to do all those things.
