    I was wondering if it was possible to get the pokedex to work like it does in Gen 7 e.g Once a Pokemon is registered through trade,evolution ,Ext it registers it like you caught it.

    I'm not sure I understand the question. The Pokedex has always worked like that - having a Pokemon is all it takes to register its data. It doesn't matter if you caught, traded for, evolved, hatched, or got it as a gift/event. Is that what you were asking?
