Gen IV (HGSS): Adding The Fairy Type.

    I want to add the Fairy-Type to my Pokemon HeartGold ROM Hack, but I don't know how. I want to know how and if it's possible to add new types for stuff like this. But, if that's not possible, I would also like to know how to edit types, so that I might edit Curse's "???" type into the Fairy-Type as an alternative, while just changing Curse to a Ghost-Type move. Thanks in advance!
