Hi all, I hope this is in the right place...

I am after a female Snorlax. I have a male one and have been breeding with a ditto, but all the eggs so far have been male.

Is there still a 12.5% chance I'll get a female? or will the eggs always be the same gender as the pokemon paired with ditto?

No, you will get a female Snorlax eventually. Just keep on trying.

Gender is automatically determined when the egg is first created and it is completely random. It has nothing to do with the gender of the parents.

Thanks, I finally got a female snorlax! now I'm trying to get a wild male slowpoke and all I'm getting is females... typical eh

The rate when breeding drops from 1/8 to 1/256 horrible odds against you.

Wow if I'd have known those odds before I probably wouldn't have bothered last night... however I was very lucky and have a female snorlax :)
