    I was looking through the boxes in my FR game today, and I noticed that an old Gengar that I had trained had this moveset:

    Mean Look
    Curse
    Destiny Bond
    Shadow Ball

    Does anybody have any suggestions for improving this Gengar's moveset? My original plan for it was to have it use Mean Look, then Destiny Bond(incase it died before Curse could kill the enemy) and Curse. It would have normally just have been a 1 use only in a battle, maybe just to take down a hard uber in the opposing team. Now that I think of it, it seems a waste to have put Destiny Bond into his moveset...I might have well just bred it to have Selfdestruct...But I'd like some opinions before I try anythin else on it.

    EVs: 252 Spd, 252 Sp Atk, 6 HP
    -Hypnosis
    -Focus Blast
    -Shadow Ball
    -Thunderbolt/Energy Ball

    WideLensGar... quite effective, yet quite predictable as well so use with caution

    Hasty Nature
    EVs: 252 Atk, 200 Spd, 52 Sp Atk
    -Ice Punch
    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Shadow Ball/Fire Punch

    McIceGar from 3rd Gen (probably wrong EVs now since Ice Punch is physical and Shadow Ball is special) If you go with Fire Punch, change the Sp Atk EVs to Speed EVs

    I think I'll go with that WideLens Gengar. One thing...how do I get a Wide Lens anyway?
     
    I think it's a Game Corner prize... been ages since I got mine I can only half remember

    EDIT: Yep, 1000 coins for a Wide Lens, or you have a 5% chance of finding it on a wild Yanma
     
    Thanks for the advice, I think I'll just bring out my Crobat and try and steal a few off some Yanma, a little broke in the game at the moment.
