Getting all 493 pokemon on Battle Revolution?

    OK so I have a question that I cannot get a straight answer from anywhere. I just bought battle revolution just to mess around on with the roommates, but I am stuck on how to add all the pokemon onto it. I know you need a DS and D/P/Pt, but once I sync it up, do I get to make custom teams from the 493 or do I actually have to catch all of them? I was hoping it would be like pokemon stadium where you can pick 6 from the list of 493 but I am just not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated
     
    You have to have them in your box, if I'm not mistaken. It's not like the Stadium games where everything in the Pokedex is up for rental. PBR makes you do the work if you want to build your own team basically, and you'll have to do so in your DS games. Next time, please use the Q&A thread.
