So, after a few years out of the aspect of Pokemon, I've decided to get back into it.

I was once a pretty big TCG collector, sending my cards to different Pokemon events, and either sell or trade. I also went on the battlegrounds, traveling around Washington (where I lived) to any and all tournaments I can attend. I won my share of tournaments, and lost my share, as has everyone else. After a while, I ended up getting bored out of my mind, so I gave many of my cards to kids down the street and sold the rest on eBay.

I was also big on the Game Boy as well. I remember getting my first GameBoy Color along with Pokemon Blue and Red in 1999 on my 16th birthday. I played it day upon day, fairly, and within about a year and a half of hard training, and trading with other people, collected all 151 pokemon. I remember getting Gold along with Silver. I played both for about a year, and simply gave up.

I'd like to ask a couple questions mainly, so that I can get back on track.

First is general, how much as Pokemon changed since 2000 and the introduction to the US of the 100 pokemon? Has there been more Pokemon introduced since then? This might seem newbish, but is there a list of each pokemon along with strengths, weaknesses, and such?

Second is about the TCG, does Wizards of the Coast still releases the card set? If so, what is the status of it, what sets have been released? Are there any banned cards that I'd like to know of? What would you suggest to me to get back on track?

Thank you. Some of these questions may be newbish, but I would love to get back on track and go the direction I once went on.

I'm not sure about the cards, but I think only Nintendo has them now, so far pokemon are at 386 I belive, with a new set coming out next year, and the anime is at seven movies, hope that helps.

Pok?mon in general has changed quite a bit since 2000. The thid generation games (Ruby/Sapphire ands FireRed/LeafGreen for the GBA and Pok?mon Colosseum for the GameCube have been released, introducing 135 new pok?mon to make a grand total of 386. For a list of each pok?mon and their strenghs/weaknesses, try the pok?dex at either www.serebii.net or *link removed*

I lost track of the TCG after Neo4 came out. All I can say is that WotC forgot to renew their license for the Pok?mon TCG and Nintendo took over for the last four or five sets.

alot of new games have been released which introduced us to the 3rd gen of pokemon and a 4th is on its way
