Getting to know the Overlord

So I figured I'd try this in an attempt to increase my activity on here.

I'd rather not reveal my real age or name, but the name starts with "L" and the age is 25+. Please don't ask for any more specifics. I have a graduate degree in finance.

I was born in South Korea, raised in upstate New York (read: NOT NYC) and currently live in the Carolinas, which is where I feel I fit in the best. Don't ask me if I know how to speak Korean, I was only there for the first three months of my life, and crying is pretty much a universal language.

I'm most well known as "that Buick guy" on here, but in reality, I chose that brand as a good representative (at least in the past) of the type of cars I like... comfortable, luxurious without being overly pretentious and flamboyant (it's why I generally prefer a Buick - or the former Oldsmobile - model over a similar Cadillac model), and designed for "old folks." Sadly, Buick's moved away from that with smaller, sportier models (The Encore? Really?) and IMO the last decent new car built was actually the Lincoln Town Car.

I would describe my personal level of Pokemon "fandom" to be unique. Unique in that the trainers in the Pokemon games are much more interesting to me than the creatures themselves. If I had to give a reason, it's probably because I'm not an animal person. And if I had to give a reason for that, it's because I'm allergic to animals - at least when they're alive. I do enjoy myself some delicious hamburger or fried chicken, though :P

I stopped watching the Pokemon anime partway through the Johto season. I have never read the manga or played the card game, so best you don't ask me about them, unless you want to see my confused face.

I'm quite a big fan of anime, though I often find that my tastes are for the series that are less well-known.

Other interests include the hotel industry, financial/white collar crime, JRPG's, and music circa 1980-1992.

I don't consider myself techno-savvy; I started falling behind the technology curve circa 2000, and never really made much of an effort to catch up.

I would suggest not asking me about my opinions on celebrities, movies, TV shows, etc (except celebrity scam artists) since I don't keep up with them either. Ditto most music after 1992 or so.

Do not ask me whether I am getting X or Y until after the full Pokedex is revealed, including version exclusives. Till I know that, your guess is as good as mine. No, I don't intend getting whatever version I end up getting on release date. I can't afford both versions, and I need to know I'm getting the one with the right Pokemon.
