3rd Gen Glitch

My brother collects Pelippers and Wingulls in his Ruby version. I mixed records with him a few months ago, and just recently I was watching TV on my Emerald version and the nickname show was on. Part of it said "the nickname SQUADRONCHO of DANIEL's POKeMON PELIPPER." Isn't the nickname limit 7 charactors? SQUADRONCHO is 11 charactors, so I think that it might be a glitch. Then it said "The nickname SQUADRONCHO is rooted by the letter "Q" That letter is supported by the first letter "S," which gives it a solid sence of presence as a nickname." Why does it talk about the lettering, it has never done this to me before. Also, my brother has never ever had a Pelipper named SQUADRONCHO.

when i used to have sapphire that's everything it would say about my pokemon
talking about how the second letter does whatever to the first

Well, SQUADRONCHO is 11 letters, not 10 letters or less.
