6th Gen Going by Reboot standards.

    We all know that Pokemon Black and White were meant to be reboots in the Pokemon series with Route 1 being Route 1 again and Unova being so far away from other regions.

    So technically Black and White are Red/Blue/Green and Yellow all over again.

    So X, Y ( And possibly Z ) are the Gen 2 of the new pokemon.

    Gen 2 Johto also had Kanto on it. So do you think the X and Y region will be neighbouring to Unova, and we'll be able to travel in it once more?
     
    Possibly. The Doctor Who 50th anniversary hype has opened my eyes as to what parts of the past would be a good idea to keep to be honest.
    Maybe the new region is huge, and the legendary Pokemon are actually legendary, maybe some parts of Unova are accessible (Dragonspiral Tower maybe?) or portions of other regions. Maybe new small regions entirely. HGSS were 128MB in size and BW/2 were 256MB in size. With AT LEAST quadruple the space, we might get two new regions (one for each legendary), and just parts of the past referenced.
     
    While I personally don't think there will be travel to any of the previous regions, there's already a discussion of this taking place here.
