I think that Shelgon is quite fun to use. It is a Pure Dragon with nice Defense. Not only that, but one of its Event Moves in the 3rd Gen is Iron Defense, which beefs it up even more. Idea:

    Shelgon@Leftovers*Wilson*
    Adamant/Impish
    129 HP, 129 Att, 252 Def,
    Dragon Claw
    Iron Defense
    Double-Edge
    Rest

It's my dream set. Basically, beef up desfenses, Attack with Double-Edge/Dragon Claw, and heal when hurt.

What do you think? I was once notorious on Serebii for making novelty sets like this :D

Yea, sure it can work, but you need to ask yourself. What advantage does this give over Salamence? Only single Ice Weak and it has Iron Defense. So it still gets OHKOed by a lot of boltbeamers. Salamence simply does it's job better than Shelgon.

Hmmm... For UU Tier, Of course!

IMO, Dragonair, Pupitar, Selgon, Metang, and Gabite are viable options for UU play.

Does "Novelty Set" say anything to you?

I think outside the box :D

I was once know in the 3rd gen for creating CBtress (Choice Band Forretress).

But, unlike Serebii, I have no friends to support me with my individualality(sp) D:

Shelgon with Iron Defense is bad in ways for people who uses standard teams...

    Example:

    Shelgon is sent out
    Opponent sends out Physical Sweeper
    You use Iron Defense
Opponent switches to Sp Sweeper Porygon-Z etc.
You have to switch or youll be killed my Ice Beam, so Iron Defense was for nothing

    It's for the UU Tier, not OU or Uber >~<;

I'm not planning to battle Lv.100 Shiny Hacked Arceus With Icicle/Draco Plate Attached or anything. XP

Just UUs, like Granbull and Hypno and such :p

Well, unless you only battle people who use UU pokemon as well, don't expect it to work too well.

Doesn't that mean Salamence gets Iron Defense? And does Shelgon get Wish like Mence? It has less resistances too, but is ok in UU.
