4th Gen good team for the start of the game

    i have recently started my diamond over and ive been have trouble finding and deciding on a good team

    at one point or another ive thought about using these pokemon:

    grotle
    luxio
    machop/machoke
    drifloom
    psyduck
    starly
    kadabra
    combee/vespiqueen


    can some one help me pick a good team with these pokemon or some other pokemon?
    or even share your own team(around the 2nd to 4th gym)

    Out of those I'd probably go with Grotle, Luxio, Kadabra, Machoke, Starly, Drifloon.

    EDIT - My team (just started playing another one and so I happen to be around the same spot) is:

    Torterra
    Staravia
    Luxio
    Bibarel (for HMs)
    Cranidos
    Gastly

    Actually I have an Egg as my 6th, and so Gastly isn't too great...probably need to go catch a Kadabra too...

    Also I'm not counting Deoxys because I'm not going to use it till around the 7th or 8th gym.

    Torterra

    Ya, I just sweeped the game with EQ and Leafstorm.
     
    Well rounded

    well rounded teams need:

    chimchar
    luxio
    starly
    buizel
    (rock) i went with cranidos but i had to wait to go underground
    (ice) to take out dragons, grass, rock, seriously pretty much anything. Of course glaceon is a good pic. i am so happy that it was added to the eveelutions

    Well clearly he asked out of the ones he has, and he has a Grotle. So Chimchar is out, and also he's not even close to being able to get Glaceon.

    lol. so awesome.

    when i played pearl i went through the first 7 gyms with piplup before i even evolved him :D
    though the grass gym gave me a lot of trouble until i taught it pluck


    on-topic i'd have to say:
    grotle
    luxio
    machoke
    drifloon
    starly
    kadabra


    and get a geodude for HMs until you need fly/surf then get a wingull/pelipper
    also might i suggest catching a magikarp if you can and want to train it up to a gyarados cos well gyarados is awesomd :D
