can somebody please tell me the correct way to capture Pinsir and Houndour in the Safari Zone (on Emerald, of course)? I can't catch them and I am getting very frustrated with them.

There is no right or wrong way to catch a Pokemon in the Safari Zone. You just have to have patience and be ready to throw plenty of Safari Balls. I wish I or another person could assist you more, but it is impossible. If I knew you I'd give you one of my five Pinsir.
