I've noticed that many people are starting to create what are known as "Challenges." I've decided to create a guide for the basic format of creating a challenge based on the format presented by BreakingBen, which mostly everyone is used to.

    - When you first make a challenge, tell what kind of challenge it is in your thread, and what games can be used. For example, a good name for a challenge thread would be "The R/B/Y Monospecies Challenge."

    - After introducing yourself, the rules should be simple, and based on your title. For example, we will use "The G/S/C DuoSpecies Challenge" for the remainder of this guide.

    - In the rules, a challenge would-
; State what the challenge is
; Whether HM slaves are allowed or not
; Whether certain pokemon are not allowed
; How you complete a challenge
; Whether breeding, trading, or a Gameshark can be used to obtain certain Pokemon
; In the case of a montype challenge, a person may use the same type more than once, otherwise the challenge is too limited. For example, if razorsfire decides he/she wants to use the Fire-type, but hardc0rerock has already claimed it, she should be able to use the fire-type.
; In the case of a duo, trio, or multitype challenge, type combinations cannot be used more than once. This means that if you choose the Dragon and Water types, no one else can use both dragon and water types UNLESS they are not main types.
; In species challenges, Pokemon may be limited to the pokemon available more towards the beginning. Also, no species/family can be used more than once( unless it is a duo/multi species challenge).
; When someone signs up for a challenge, they must state what pokemon/ type they will use, what game they are using, and the name of the trainer they will use.
; When you post a "journal report" about your challenge, state what you did in whatever form, then post your pokemon in the following manner:
    Pokemon Nickname(Name)
    Level:
    Item(in G/S/C only)
    Move 1
    Move 2
    Move 3
    Move 4
Do the same thing for each Pokemon. For those of you with VisualBoy, you can paste pictures showing the movesets.
; When you complete a challenge, state how long it took you to complete it, what Pokemon you used, and what game it was for. After a challenge is complete, the type combinations/ species combinations are opened up to new challengers.

Here is the basic format of a classic start of challenge:

Hello, All, and welcome to the G/S/C DuoSpecies challenge! I love creating challenges, and hope you enjoy this one!
Here are the rules for the challenge:
    - You can use two pokemon of different species.
    - The same pokemon combination can't be used more than once(i.e. if someone decides to use Hoothoot and Poliwag, you can't use both Hoothoot and Poliwag, but you could use Poliwag/ Cyndaquil).
    - Only Pokemon catchable up to Azalea Town may be used.
    - Your challenge is over when you defeat Red and the Johto Elite Four.
    - You can use HM slaves, but may not train them.
    - Breeding is allowed, but not encouraged.
    - You can catch Pokemon for your Pokedex, but may not train them.
    - If you have to quit the challenge for any reason, state so instead of just not posting.

    Thanks, and good luck!

    Trainers who signed up:

    hardc0rerock: Cyndaquil, Aipom

When reporting how you did, here is what it should look like(the style or reporting is optional).

After getting Cyndaquil from Prof. Elm, I nicknamed it Patch. I made it to Cherrygrove Town while leveling Patch to level 7, and got the Town Map. After getting Cyndaquil to lvl 12, and meeting Mr. Pokemon, I battled ????, who I named Kyle. I then saved and shut off.

    Pokemon:

    Patch(Cyndaquil)
    Lvl 13
    Berry

    Ember
    Tackle
    Leer
    Smokescreen

After completing a challenge, here is the basic format for reporting so:

I finally battled Red and defeated him with quite a bit of difficulty. Challenge Complete!

    Name: Costa
    Time: 34:51
    Pokemon used: Cyndaquil, Aipom
    Game: Crystal

FYI... I posted this not only as a guide, but to see what ppl thought of it.*cough cough*
