GUidelines to making a successful hack in the scrapbox.

    I reli don't know if im able to do this, if Im not it can be locked. But I've been noticing something particular to the scrpabox. A lot of threads are either being locked or flopping (not enough views, support, ect.) I have a few ideas why. I think that by following these guieds your hack may have a better chance at thriving and one day making it to the showcase. If you have any ideas of your own as to how to keep a hack from failing just add them. Again I don't know if Im allowed to do this but I'm tired of seeing hacks with great plots fail.

    • Before you add your hack to the scrapbox, PLEASE at least get it started. Alot of hacks here fail because the maker didn't start the hack beforehand and doesnt realize how much harder it will be to keep a thread going without progress.
    • Read around before starting a hack. This will help you see what is and isn't possible. Hacks that say 'All 400+ Pokemon, All 4 Regions, Ect.'. No offense but notice how it hasn't been done yet. Maybe becuase its difficult or impossible.
    • Your VBA comes with something that can take both Pictures and Videos, Please use them. Add some life to your hack. Just because the hack isn't in the showcase doesnt mean you don't have to have screenies. Think about it how may of you al would play a hack without knowing what it's looking like.
    • If you plan to quit your hack please notify Blaizchu so that he can lock it. Some threads are being bumped wihtout people realizing the maker of the hack has ended production.
    • Update Frequently. If ou are making HUGE strides of progress plz update your thread. YOur thread might not do too well if you never update.
    This is just some of them. I mean no offense to anyone and if I offend you I apologize. If anyone knows how to keep a thread alive that i hadn't mentioned plz add it. And again if I'm not suppose to do this feel free to lock it Mods
     
    I don't see the point of this, seeing as we already have...RULES!
