Gym Leader Challenge (need several participants)
I'm turning this into a game. I will pick the best 8 for Johto, and the next best for kanto. i will add a poll for what game you think these gym leaders should be in. in the event of a gen I game being chosen, i will alter the moves that are unavailable for gen I and replace them with similar ones. in your entry, be sure to list what city it is in, and what region or gym it is a part of. johtom entries are only available for the johto games, but i may use a kanto entry for a johto game (if a gen II game is elected).
I am going to all this trouble so i can release a hack with no editing to the story, only to gym leaders and their pokemon and names. i am calling this hack The Gym Leader Challenge.
Using ONLY GEN II TYPES AND POKEMON, create the most annoying or difficult gym leader(s) you can. make some beast move combos, types, and pokemon. list your pokemon choices, and the movesets to go with it. There are no limits to how many times you can apply.
FORMAT (stick to this if at all possible)
Leader name
Leader strategy
Leader types
Badge number - city/town/village
What generation
Level: Poke1 - move 1, move 2, move 3, move 4
(repeat as needed)
then defend yourself if movesets are bogus
here is an example...
Jonny (didn't really try on the name)
Eternal type advantage (pokes that can use many types of moves)
Many types
Badge Number 7 in Johto - Mahogony Town
Generation 2 (RBY)
Lvl 35: Clefable - Psychic, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Ice Beam
Lvl 32: Nidoqueen - Sludge Bomb, Submission, Thunder, Earthquake
Lvl 31: Snorlax - Surf, Amnesia, Thunderbolt, Body Slam
Lvl 34: Lapras - Thunderbolt, Psychic, Hydro Pump, Blizzard
Lvl 32: Raichu - Surf (DUH!), Agility, Thunderbolt, Mega Kick
Lvl 28: Muk - Dynamic Punch, Sludge Bomb, Acid Armor, Light Screen
(these movesets are possible through trading across gens and breeding)
this format is almost mandatory.
Let see how this plays out. I want some interesting combinations and leaders. I want as many ppl as possible to apply. i'll check daily and let you know in maybe a month or so. Lets see.
NOTE - This is for everyone: new members, regular members, administrators, and anyone else in between. Lets make this a good project! Ask any questions if you are confused. And btw THIS IS NOT FOR FIRE RED OR LEAF GREEN! Gen I/II ONLY!!
