    THE GYM LOVER CHALLENGE

    In this challenge you can use only use your starter and Pokemon of the same type as the previous gyms you've defeated. This means until defeating the 1st Gym you will only be allowed to use your starter.

    Rules
    1) No trade or present pokemon allowed until the required gym type is available.
    2) After you've defeated the the 4th gym you can' use pokemon of the 1st gym's type, this applies all the way up to the 8th gym where you can't use the 5th gym or below types.
    3) You can use dual-type pokemon as long as one of the types is available and neither type is locked out (see rule 2)(eg. You can have a Water/Ice or Water/Normal type in D/P after beating Crasher Wake, but you can't have a Water/Rock type at that stage because Rock-types are locked after beating the 4th Gym)
    4) Unova is banned in both B/W and B2/W2 for reasons about Striaton Gym Leaders
    5) You don't have to remove a pokemon if you caught it before its type is locked out.
    6) No lgenedaries
    7) Pokemon who evolve into an available type are still banned you must obtain the pokemon in an available type (eg Eeveelutions can't be obtained in Gen I or Gen II games because of previous rules.​

    Kanto: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Fire Red, Leaf Green
    Johto: Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heart Gold (minus Gen IV pokemon), Soul Silver (minus Gen IV pokemon)
    Hoenn: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald
    Sinnoh: Diamond, Pearl
