Hacked Pokemon?

What is the significance of a hacked pokemon compared to a normal pokemon? I'm not asking how to tell them apart, just what makes them different.

A hacked Pokemon is created by methods outside of the game, ie, Pokegen, Action Replay, ect.

As they are created by outside methods, they don't have to follow the normal rules of a Pokemon generated in game.

For example, one could hack what's known as a "Wondertomb", which is a Spiritomb with the ability "Wonder Guard", which it cannot have if say, you catch it normally in the wild.

A lot of people also like to hack in competitive Pokemon just to avoid the time it takes to breed, EV train them, etc. While these technically are "hacked", there still modelled after legitimate Pokemon you can get in the game.

Well hacked Pokemon tend to be Pokemon people try and make perfect by giving them Max EVs and perfect natures and of course shiny. I don't like it at all. I think it's unfair that you can hack in Pokemon like that. The fun of the game is getting new Pokemon and everything being a mystery.

I really don't understand this mentality. I used to use Pokesav and I made everything legit (only 510 EV's, allowed moves, etc). I just never really understood why it's a big deal that I need to waste a gigantic amount of time doing something as tedious as breeding and EV training when I really enjoyed competitive battling in the end. I mean, if you find running around catching Pokemon and trying to get ones with the right nature, 31 IV stats, etc, than have fun with that, but it's just not my cup of tea.

I can understand if they make a max EV Pokemon and battle you with it, but what's the difference if my Pokemon is shiny and I saved a bunch of time getting it?

Due to an unfortunate accident I lost many of my pokemon, and now seek to recover them by purchasing a hacked cartridge.
