4th Gen Happiness Evolution

I've just hatched like 4 out of 6 Eevee eggs (I want 7 Eevees for the 7 Eeveelutions), and I'm trying to make the one that bred them happy. Now I've read a Ruby/Sapphire happiness guide, but I'm not sure if D/P is any different. If you give your Pokemon a poffin that has a flavor it likes, will it make it any happier? If not I can always keep on beating the E4 to get money to buy vitamins.

Make it hold soothe bell and run around a lot, never let it faint.
I walked around A LOT and one of my Eevees evolved to Umbreon at level 2 =D

Actually, happiness evolution was made much easier in D/P. Not only do we have a Poketch application for it, but the happiness berries were also made easier to find.

So...yeah, follow Virtual Headache's advice. When the Poketch shows your Pokemon having two hearts, it should be ready to evolve.
