4th Gen Has anyone beaten trainer red

i'm training my pokemon so I can beat trainer red but how did people find it like what team did you guys use.
i'm going to use Dragonite, Feralgatr, Raichu, Gengar and Ninetails

both times i beat him i had my lv 87 starter pokemon and that was it. 1st time typhlosion 2nd feraligatr

If you want to list the teams you use in the game, whether it be for the whole storyline or to defeat Red you can post it in this thread here, What's Your Team? With that, there really is no need for another thread about other people's teams. Plus, the Travel Journal can also be a good place to list your adventures in the game and at the same time your current team players.
