    Ok... What If someone made an Adventure Story (Stay with me people!) around a new Region (Keep reading) but the Major Catch was that everyone in the Fanfction Forum could Contribute To it?

    Like say one person starts off one Chapter. Then after that Someone else writes a Chapter and So on... I'd love to hoast this but I wouldn't like to write the 1st Chapter. No-one could double post Chapters. Chapters must have mid-high quality. Keep with the storyline and stuff... If it hasn't been done before then i'd like to do it but only ig you lot think it's worth it.

    (If it does get started then i'll make the thread in the FF area and put up some rules, the rules won't be to do with the plot)

    Where your having everybody contribute to it, but they must have semi-good writing skills, it's kinda like how one of the RPG's works.

    First you'd have to make sure that your writers would be committed to work on the project, second you'd have to still make the plot a bit more interseting {Ex. The trainer with a different past, somewhat more than just badge-collecting, have plot twists that will captiavite your readers to stick with the story.}, third you would have to do some of the work and you must be at least a semi-good writer yourself.

    What would be better IMO but would be similar to this is to have a team of writers that would work on this project with you and eventually work on different projects with some of the teamates. But that's just my thought.

    Ehh...I concur, this does sound like an RP, and I guarantee you that there are plenty of that kind to be found. Also, letting anyone post in a fanfic is a recipe for disaster because that would lead to a mish-mash of styles, a lack of a coherent plotline (As everyone has their own ideas about what should happen) and either an unmanageably large amount of characters or a bunch of characters with self-contradictory actions (as everyone would most likely not agree on what a character does and doesn't do). In RPs the conflict of opinions is moderated because everyone only controls their own characters - and possibly a few NPCs - and thus can't create any drastic changes in one go, not to mention that there's the sign-up process to weed out the bad RPers, but if people get to write whole chapters...nyu, it's gonna' get ugly. -.- So yeah, my vote is on 'no'.

    For co-operative writing to be successful you really need the writers to be of comparable skill and have a lot of communication between them, and for that to be efficient the number of people invovled needs to be pretty limited. In short, it's best done between a group of writer friends, really.

    It has been THOUGHT of. At least considered my Madii-Chan with her fic, but it never worked out well anyway. Not saying yours won't! Don't leave me here dude! Go for it if you really want to.

    My Advice is to Start a team of really good fanfic writers and do it. Then you won't get spam chapters and stuff. I don't know. It's a good idea.

    You're talking about a Chain Fic. Yeah, there were a few of those going for awhile. They're kind of like RPs, except everyone has the exact same amount of control over the story as the person that starts it. It's fun to do, but I'll warn you. People tend to be unpredictable with these. Just make sure you know that you won't be able to fully control the story in this type of Fic.

    Don't do it. Everyone has their own style of writing, and so the finished product is going to look... kinda odd. XD Plus no one would know where the plot is going (that's why RPGs have a game master to make sure the group doesn't stray off the original plotline). I guess if you told all involved where the plot was going it might work out better, but then it would ruin the suspense and fun. ^^;

    I think that my point has been repeated already... sounds more like a role play than a fanfic. If it's totally cooperative writing as a fanfic, then chaos breaks loose because everyone has a different schedule and view of what is happening too. Also, this style of writing will make it hard for characters to interact with one another without "controlling" them against the wish of their creator.

    I think you could do it, I would personally try to keep it to one character. That you could all write about, on his journey. It's like that one game I used to play in the car;

    Person one: Once upon a time there was a...
    Person two: Prince
    Person three: Who liked a girl
    Person four: But she was a pheasent

    Sorta of like that, only in chapter length
