Haunted Pikachu

Hey everyone,

Something quite scary just happened and I'd like to know if something similar has happened to anyone else.
While out biking, I encountered my very first Pikachu. This is what happened:
1) I threw a Razz berry.
2) I threw an Ultra ball.
3) While it was in the ball, I got the notification that I lost my Internet connection.
4) After like 10 seconds I was kicked out of the Catch screen and I was back on the map.
5) After another like 10 seconds, my phone turned itself off instantly.
I tried turning my phone back on, but it would be off again almost immediately. Back home, I was able to turn it back on. The battery was still on 22% (as it was during the encounter), no Pikachu.

This was either an amazingly unfortunate series of events, or encountering Pikachu caused my Internet connection to leave me and turned my phone off.
What do you guys think?

That's just a phone hardware problem. You ought to get that checked out.

thats pretty scary but it didnt make me crap my pants like this one eevee did. it ate 6 berries, broke out of 13 pokeballs, got all up in my face with a creepy smile, then my phone crashed.
