Haunter IV problems?

After deciding that a Haunter/Gengar would be a good choice to attempt to capture the roamers with, I started training one. However, after some attempts at IV calculations, some errors began to show.

It's Modest, and its characteristic is 'capable of taking hits.'
It's currently level 29 with:
66 HP
36 ATK
38 DEF
99 SP.ATK
37 SP.DEF
62 SPEED
With 47 SPA EVs and 1 SPD EV.

Its IVs calculated to:
HP = 5
ATK = 23
DEF = 26
SP.ATK = ERROR
SP.DEF = 2
SPD = 7
Over the combination of IV calculation of several levels and several IV calculators, though they all basically matched with the same results. The Sp. Atk is always labeled as being higher than the maximum possible in the IV calculators I've tried thus far, and I've been wondering if anyone happens to know why this is going on?

Are you entering it as Haunter or Gengar? I didn't get any errors until I tried the stats as a level 29 Gengar, which said all of the IVs were incompatible except for Sp. Atk. As Haunter it says the Sp. Atk IV is 31, which doesn't match with its characteristic. I'm guessing you caught it in the wild, or did you get it from somebody else?

I'm entering it as Haunter, and yes, it's caught from the wild. Is the characteristic simply an error, then? Since that's what some calculators said to me, although a few started saying that it's too high in general instead of just wrong characteristic (ex "You entered 83, but the range is # - 80" when I did it once at a lower level).

It could be an error, but I really don't know. You could try doing an IV battle really quickly to get its stats at level 100, which could prove more accurate than using its level 29 stats.
