3rd Gen Have you ever noticed Please read!!!

Ok ive just wondered has anyone ever realised that a water Pokemon learns Water Sport and a Ground Pokemon learns Mud Sport and they weaken Fire attacks and Electric attacks and i have always thought WHAT IS THE POINT because the Pokemon already strong against that type and Ground Pokemon are totally resistant to Electric attacks so what do you guys think cus i think it is pointless

Probably so it benefits the OTHER pokemon on your team? Besides...I don't ever see any of those moves being used on NB anyways.

The sports are more for 2vs2 battling when your partner may not be strong to water/electricity as well.

the point is that pokemon like Swampert can learn mud sport and weaken electric but true if swampert wasnt part ground there would be a point to it but there not thats pretty stupid
